It is living history and walking through the door, you could almost smell homemade cookies, pies and cakes and see grandma busily working in the kitchen preparing to welcome everyone home for Thanksgiving. While it isn't a five star stay at a hotel, it is a five star stay at grandma's house and just as comfortable. The home was clean, warm and, well, homey. 'Nice place overall. If the upstairs is rented the downstairs can get a fair amount of noise though the floor. This is not an issue obviously if no one is upstairs. We were in Manhattan for graduation so clearly a busy time with minimal vacancies. Very good location. Beds were comfy.'

It was too cold to use the water toys but it was nice to sit and relax at the deck of the boathouse.
