Mary's Lake Cabin: Loop naar het meer en Boulder Bay Park! Spelkamer!

Mary's Cabin is een huis van 1300 vierkante meter op een steenworp afstand van het prachtige Boulder Bay Park. Het heeft twee slaapkamers, twee en een half badkamers en een recreatieruimte met een extra bed.

Geniet van een glas wijn op het dek en geniet van een prachtig uitzicht op de met bomen omzoomde bergen en een piek van het meer! Loop naar Blanca en Pierre's Restaurant voor een stevig ontbijt, slechts 1. 5 blokken verderop. Pak de volgende deur wat brandhout en proviand op. Huur een kajak of fiets slechts een blok van de cabine! Als u er bent om te skiën en niet wilt omgaan met parkeren, neem dan de lokale openbare bus een half blok verderop en ga naar de pistes. Snow Summit en Bear Mountain liggen op 10 minuten rijden en het dorp ligt op 5 minuten afstand. De trailhead naar de populaire Castle Rock-trail ligt op 1,6 km afstand en biedt een aantal van de beste uitzichten op Big Bear Lake. Spring in het meer, slechts een blok verder! Mary's Cabin ligt op de perfecte locatie om te genieten van alles wat Big Bear Lake te bieden heeft, maar voelt zich toch afgelegen en privé. Nadat je thuis bent gekomen van je drukke dag met lokale activiteiten, ga je lekker luieren op het dek of in de hot tub en geniet je van het getjilp van blauwe Vlaamse gaaien, blijf je op zoek naar eekhoorns en adem je de frisse dennenlucht in.

Het huis zelf is onlangs gerenoveerd en smaakvol ingericht. De grote slaapkamer heeft een queensize bed en een eigen badkamer. Word wakker met een spectaculair uitzicht op de berg vanuit de grote glazen deuren van de grote slaapkamer naar het terras. De tweede slaapkamer heeft een tweepersoons-stapelbed, een eigen open haard en een aparte badkamer.

Gratis high-speed wi-fi inbegrepen. Krijg de open haard in de woonkamer terwijl je wat bordspellen speelt met je geliefden of een film kijkt. Naast de woonkamer is er een benedenverdieping met een derde badkamer. Deze rec-kamer heeft een extra kitchenette met een kleine koelkast, waar u uw favoriete drankjes kunt bewaren terwijl u pool of tafeltennis speelt, of kunt ontspannen en televisie kijken. Het huis is volledig gevuld voor entertainment, met bord- en kaartspellen en twee flatscreen-smart-tv's met live streaming via Hulu, en duizenden films en shows op aanvraag. Wasmachine op het terrein. De keuken is volledig gevuld met apparatuur en waren om naar hartenlust te koken. Serveer je maaltijden op de rustieke houten eettafel met uitzicht op Boulder Bay.

Goed opgevoede huisdieren welkom! Er is een volledig omheinde tuin voor uw hond om te dwalen.

Mary's Cabin is je thuis weg van huis; een gezellige hut met moderne gemakken, dicht bij het hele jaar door activiteiten op Big Bear Lake. Belangrijk: Geachte reiziger, u wordt belast met USD 200 indien u een huisdier bij uw reservering plaatst als een restitueerbare borg voor huisdieren.

Horrible noise couldn’t sleep

House was nice enough. The spa was green though and made a god awful noise every couple of hours they you couldn’t sleep through. Tried to reach the host, but after several hours of no response we ended up leaving.

Rodent Issue

Our short stay (5 hours) was very unpleasant. Unfortunately, the road up to the home is not plowed during the winter months, which was not in the description, and made it very challenging to access the home even with chains. The home is okay, but it is more worn looking than the website conveys, and the spa was not working properly. However, the main issue was with rodents. We saw a rat crawl out from under the dishwasher and found droppings on the floor in the kitchen. We also found rat droppings in both of the bedrooms on the beds! We spoke to the property management company who found us another rental which was much nicer than the home we were at.

The property was clean and nice . One of the room didn’t have heather , not enough towels . The hot tub didn’t work no jets on the tub or lights , the blanket smelled very dirty , sone of the power outlets were not working other then that it was great .

Amazing stay

all I can say was that this was such a great rental home. Everything was very homey Very clean and kept up while I could not have asked for anything better me and my husband enjoyed our 18 year anniversary and it was the best We can’t wait to come back in the summer and make more memories everything went well with check-in ran to check in a little early, which was great because we arrived early. The owners were very nice attentive and responded fast.

Loved our stay at Mary's cabin

We had a fantastic stay at Mary's cabin, four adult two generation family. The cabin was perfect for us, sufficient distance between the couples, fun game room in the basement, easy access to the lake and even a peak view of the lake from the dining room and deck. We had a few confusions in some directions but a property manager came out very quickly and helped us get everything set up straight. Highly recommend this unit for a quick weekend in Big Bear.

Description was a bit misleading.

This is a cozy property and we loved the fact that we could literally walk to the lake however some things were a bit misleading. There is no pool table at the property. Even though the images show it has one. It took a whole day to heat up the spa. I called 3 times to figure out how to do it and when a repair guy finally called back he said we have to keep the cover on in order for it to heat up. So it was heating up all Friday evening. Didn’t get to use it until Saturday. Also the kitchen is full of ants! Chair cushions on the outside patio are all ripped. One of the windows was missing a screen so we couldn’t open it because bugs were flying in.

Great home with only a few dislikes; upstairs AC did not work properly and the silly rule about no sleeping downstairs! Other then that the home was very clean and well stocked with all necessities. Loved that it was dog friendly however the yard was not in the best of conditions for my dogO. Good location(walking distance)for kayaking and picnic area!

This place is used and abused. Outside seating is tore up. Kitchen supplies are minimal or broken, and don’t use one of the two can openers because those won’t work either. The beds feel like a bear slept in one spot to hibernate, the shower curtain is about to fall off because they can’t spend $12 on Amazon for more hooks to keep it on the rod. Oh and please don’t rehang up your towel, because I’m pretty sure the towel rack will fall out of the wall. So if all you want to do is sit on the couch, you’ll be happy because the view on the deck that they show you…has a ton of electrical wires in the view and you won’t want to sit outside on the torn seating.

Not bad - BRING YOUR TOILETRIES

The layout is kind of weird, in order to access the game room and the downstairs area you have to go through the master bathroom, and if someone is using the bathroom you cannot go downstairs unless you go outside the house and walk around it. NO TOILETTERIES or hair drier, this was a first for us. We have stayed in many properties but never had one without basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, or conditioner. This was my first time at Big Bear, so to me, it felt like the house was outside of the main town area which is not bad, BUT if you have a second vehicle, you have to park it at the main office in town, which is about a 10-minute drive. My recommendation is that if you stay at this place, make sure your whole party fits in one vehicle for convenience (this is not a con since it is the city's policy and not management's rule). Other than that, it served its purpose for the weekend : )

Best Location!

This property was situated in the perfect location, a short walk to the lake at Boulder Bay. The deck was high up with a beautiful view of the lake and mountain side. The inside had a nice breeze flowing through it and was very cozy. We will definitely look forward to returning hopefully soon!

The place was nice and clean but we couldn’t take a shower first night because there was no shampoo, conditioner or soap in any of the bathrooms.There was no coffee so we could at least make a a cup of coffee in the morning.We travel a lot and stayed in many different air b&b’s over the years and never been in any place where didn’t provide us with this basic stuff ☹️

Overall our family had a pleasant time at this house. The house had everything we needed, plenty of games, dishes, utensils, towels, etc., location was not as expected and parking was extremely difficult even with just one vehicle. House was clean, layout was strange. Overall the house was fine and we had a good time, but we would probably not stay here again.

So many things were bad. Just gonna list… Parking was horrible…1 car spot. Jacuzzi was super dirty AND jets did not work at all. At least it was hot. Gate at top was useless. Did not latch or open all the way. Pots and pans were old and broken. No Teflon left on any. Shade was locked in the up position. No way to bring it down. Sunset fried thru the livingroom and no way to watch tv with the glare. The owners need to put some money back into this house. Not worth half of what we paid to rent it.

The property was a good location, but there needs to be some updates. The hot tub was dirty and water levels were low, so the water was not high enough to go through the filters. There were also a lot of ants when we got there and mouse droppings. The property served its purpose, but there were some cleanliness issues.

Don't want to tell the truth -- want this place for ourselves!

About 25 years ago this cabin was owned by our neighbors in Long Beach and we would frequently visit it with our young kids. Great memories. The cabin was not on the rental market for many years, but recently was upgraded and put back on the market. It is perfect for us. Just the right cozy size and now it has a hot tub on the deck. Still has a real fireplace and nice high location/views. Everything is just right: much thanks to the new owner. Only possible issue it that one has to drive up and down a steep unmaintained road to reach it. So if it snows a lot while you're there, make sure to put on your chains before attempting the descent.

Great spot!

Mary’s Lake Cabin was a great and central location. Given COVID we wanted to stay in a bit and Mary’s Lake Cabin was comfortable enough to do just that as it was clean and well equipped for cooking in stay in. The games didn’t suck either. The only trouble was finding the place as GPS takes you to the condo building across the street, once you see you have to go up dirt road, there was easy and clear signage on the house. Thanks Mary!

Just what we were looking for.

Mary’s cabin was very clean and comfortable. The listing was very accurate on what you get. I recommend staying here for a vacation in big bear.
