We spent two wonderful nights at Evergreen in May and wish it could have been more. Jonathan and Suren made us feel immediately at home, offered us a drink on our arrival and proceeded to show us around their incredible property. We loved talking about their project here, discovering the many varieties of herbs, plants, fruits and vegetables being lovingly nurtured by them, enjoying the stream that gently flanks the property, chatting about our recipes, dreaming about living in much a dream-like place, and most of all spending time with two special people.
Aside from sharing conversations with the hosts, we delighted in the lovingly-prepared meals at the property - breakfast was different both days, but on each included ingredients from the property and went far beyond the standard continental breakfast with grains, herbs, a frittata, homemade jams and much more besides. On our final night Jonathan and Suren spent great time in preparing a wonderful three-course meal for us. We were particularly touched by the fact they designed a dessert around ingredients we had mentioned we liked in a conversation the day before - such unexpected pleasures are typical of hosts who genuinely take the time to know their guests and make them feel as though they are amongst friends.
Evergreen comes with our highest recommendation and we will definitely be back in the future. Thank you so much Jonathan and Suren.
