When we first arrived we got the worst room with the worst view ever. Overlooking a building that looked like it was under construction even though we paid for an ocean front room with 2 double beds. We ended up getting a room with 1queen bed and a Murphy bed. After complaining to the front desk, we were told there won’t be any rooms available with 2 double beds until the next day. We spent one night and transferred to the oceanfront room on a higher floor with 2 double beds.
We debated for a long time before we decided to booked the GR Solaris because of the reviews. The place is nice, but outdated, the staff is very friendly but the food as the other reviewers say is not the greatest at all, the Asian restaurant is the worst. The food has no flavor and everything just seems so greasy and it has no taste. Don’t even waste your time on trying it. The Mexican restaurant was good but the portions are extremely small. The buffet is your best option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pizza by the pool is pretty good as well. We got a good on this trip so I won’t complain too much but I am very dissatisfied with the food so if you’re a picky eater, go somewhere else and pay a bit more.I would not stay there again because of the food. The alcoholic beverages seem watered down.We were also told we had to download their app in order to make reservations for their 4 restaurant. Apparently you can only eat at 2 restaurants out of the 4 so you can’t even try all 4 which makes no sense.
