'Just needed a place to sleep for a few days. Beds were more comfy than the hotel we had to get the first night and the air mattress we were on our last night of our trip. It was freezing downstairs when we first got there. But after asking about a portable heater or something, we were told about the second thermostat in the small bedroom. 'This VRBO is a wonderful location. It’s spacious, modern, and had everything we needed. The only glitch was the hallway light was out when we were checking in so we couldn’t see the deadbolt lock and had to get help getting in. But the owner responded to our message right away and the light was fixed the next morning.'

'I have stayed in Girdwood on the way outside 5 times now. This was the best location- both of the unit and the building. The host was very helpful about the process, and straight forward about the accomodations. Reserve early, because I hope to stay here again next fall. HINT- The Spoonline almond crust pizza was a great take out, if you can find them open.'

'This apartment is very clean and nicely equipped. The only reason we're giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the noise from upstairs was very off-putting and disturbed our stay. It sounded like children running back and forth all day, and we felt like the parents should be aware of those staying underneath. Although we really liked the apartment, we would not stay here again, due to this constant noise, from early morning until late at night.'

'Great starting point to adventures in Anchorage. Neighborhood a little rough. No fault to owners. The place was cute. Minor things like bathroom door didn't work properly, loud fridge. Overall, it was a convenient starting point'

'Property was clean and the location was close to downtown. A cab is needed or 20 to 25 minutes walk, which was very good. Had a hard time getting the code for the house and the laundry room. It should have been given 48 hrs before arrival. There was no mention of the home being upstairs. I requested this info a few times but it was not answered till a day or two before. Overall it was a good experience and a comfortable stay.'

'Nice, clean and plenty of space. Very convenient to the airport but apparently directly under the flight path of virtually every flight into and out of ANC. Bring your earplugs if you want to sleep.'

'We had a wonderful time staying here for a week while house hunting in Anchorage. The one bedroom apartment was cozy and beautifully decorated. I loved the fireplace was automatically running to maintain the set temperature. We very much enjoyed the view especially at night when the city lighted up in dark. We rented an AWD and got stuck once in slush but Windy and her husband helped us to get uphill. We appreciated their help!'
