Chalet Rus is de tweede traditioneel gebouwde blokhut voor 10 Blaich, dus nu zijn grotere partijen welkom om twee hutten te boeken!

Gelegen boven de Lochside 18 mijl van Fort William, de buitenhoofdstad van de U. K. Ideaal gelegen voor het verkennen van de West Highlands, wandelen, klimmen, skiën, paardrijden, vissen, kanaal- en lochcruises en nog veel meer buitenactiviteiten. Of, als u er even helemaal tussenuit wilt, gewoon relaxen en ontspannen in het comfort van de hut en genieten van de overvloedige flora en fauna. Perfect voor die romantische uitjes! Er is een open verbonden terras rondom drie zijden van de cabine van waaruit u kunt genieten van ontspannende avonden terwijl u naar de zonsondergang kijkt.

Lokale attracties zijn onder andere Ben Nevis, Neptunes-trap (het begin van het Caledonian Canal), Glenfinnan-viaduct, Jacobite Steam Train (beter bekend als Hogwarts Express uit de Harry Potter-films), Glen Coe met zijn prachtige landschappen en vele beroemde Munro's, Loch Ness en Nevis distilleerderij. De weg naar de eilanden ligt aan de overkant van Loch Eil en is een prachtige schilderachtige route naar Mallaig van waaruit u naar Skye en de westelijke eilanden kunt varen. U passeert de beroemde White Sands van Morar - een van de beste stranden aan de westkust en zeker een bezoek waard. Het Ardnamurchan-schiereiland is niet te missen met zijn overvloedige fauna, kristalhelder water en uitstekende schoonheid, eindigend bij de vuurtoren die het meest westelijke punt op het vasteland van de VS is.

WONING

De cabine is geschikt voor 6 personen, bestaande uit een extra grote slaapkamer met openslaande deuren naar het dek met de toevoeging van een discrete stapelbed en een slaapbank om te zetten in een familiekamer. De tweede slaapkamer is een gezellige tweepersoonsslaapkamer, beide slaapkamers hebben zeer grote ingebouwde kasten om uw koffers en kleding in op te bergen. Badkamer met bad, douche, toilet en wastafel, verwarmd handdoekenrek en elektrisch scheerpunt. Goed uitgeruste moderne keuken met inductie kookplaat, heteluchtoven, spoelbak, magnetron, wasmachine / droger, vaatwasser, koelkast / vriezer. De keuken leidt door naar de open eetkamer en comfortabele lounge, die TV / DVD met Free View-kanalen (plus radiokanalen), muzieksysteem inclusief iPod-dock, luxe lederen suite en open uitzicht op het Loch aan de voorzijde en de omliggende heuvels heeft en bos vanuit alle ramen. Verwarming wordt verzorgd door elektrische wandpanelen overal, maar voor die romantische koude winteravonden is er een zeer efficiënte houtkachel. Het gebied rondom de cabine is omsloten door een hekwerk met een parkeerplaats binnen. Gratis Wi-Fi is ook inbegrepen.

Amazing place near Port Williams

Karl was a great host, the place was clean and received fire wood for the wood burner. We even saw deers outside! Very close to the tourist attractions of fort Williams by car. Would come back again!

I only gave it 4/5 on accuracy of the listing, because it was even better than I expected from the description. Karl, a low key, but attentive host, welcomed us with quick instructions on how to use some of the appliances, etc. The furnishings, cookware, dishes, and utensils were the best I have ever seen in a rental property—6 cutting boards! We cooked breakfast and dinner all 4 days. The setting, which overlooked Loch Eil, was rural, with sheep, birds and deer; just an incredibly peaceful place. Karl and his father built the log cabin many years ago and the craftsmanship is outstanding—a great place to hangout by a fire during rainy rest days between sight seeing. We did a long day trip to Skye and a short trip to Loch Ness’s Urquhart castle. Otherwise some excursions into fort Williams for groceries. Karl was an excellent host and the place, one of the best I have ever stayed in. Highly recommend.

Lovely chalet

We absolutely found our stay extremely comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen and we had all we needed for our group of 6 with 2 kids. Karl was superb and even helped us start a woodfire. Very serene location.

Short Stay Relax!

from the very beginning on booking this chalet, the owner was immediately in touch with us giving full information on directions to the chalet and information regarding the chalet...incredibly helpful and clear and concise. It was a beautiful chalet set by the loch and was remote but also within 20 minutes of Fort William. The owner greeted us at the entrance, showed us everything. we knew he was there to help but never intrusive. Loved the three days there and absolutely would go back and recommend it to others. Will be planning for next year.

A very nice stay close to almost a private loch. Perfect chalet fully compliant with all the expectations. Very warm host and pleasant instants having a glas of beer in the beginning of the first evenning, thanks to Karl. A wonderful souvenir in an outsdanding place. One of my best experience!

Wonderful log cabin with spectacular view

Log cabin is much more than what you see in pictures. Up on arrival it took our breath away. Log cabin it self was spotless cleaned to perfection. Karl met us on arrival and showed us everything in detail. There was no problem for carl to sort any problems that arise. There is planty garden for activities not far away from all main attractions. Who ever wondering if this place is worth staying i say go for it its wonderful log cabin with amazing host. Im so glad i stayed here and sure will come back in future. Thanks to karl

Das Blockhaus ist wunderschön eingerichtet. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man auch zu Hause nutzt. Es ist hier sehr ruhig und man kann die traumhafte Umgebung genießen.

Lovely scenery and place to stay

Karl was very helpful upon arrival showing us how everything worked and made sure we were comfortable. The only tiny thing was finding the Chalet as google maps pin was set to the field over so just drive another 50 yards after Google tells you have arrived but even then the local neighbours were lovely helping us find it and it was a beautiful area and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!

Idyllic Chalet

Karl is an excellent host, The fire was burning and the chalet was warm and welcoming when we arrived. We really enjoyed the home made shortbread and jam. Clean and comfortable with everything you needed for a home away from home. The location is brilliant, perfect for exploring the area, while waking up to views of Loch Eil to the front, and Ben Nevis peeping through to the back. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Dream cabin in a beautiful location

We absolutely adored our stay, it's a truly beautiful cabin with everything you need on hand. It's all about the cozy feel indoors and is deceptively spacious. Highly Recommend this Highland Dream

My husband and I had a wonderful time. It was our first trip to Scotland. After being in several cities this Chalet was a relaxing place. The host is very knowledgeable and keeps the place in great shape, clean with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from the busy tourist attractions this Chalet is the perfect location. It is a fantastic hub for day trips to Mallaig and Glencoe.

This was a great spot for two couples who are interested in a base for exploring the hills and lochs around Fort William that is off the usual tourist path. We especially liked grilling our own dinners on the outdoor grill.

Home Away From Home

We had a great time staying at the chalet. It was clean, cozy, and supplied with many kitchen items that we found handy for meal prep. There was also a washing machine which was great for us. The location is far enough away from the crowds so you can feel relaxed and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature around you. Yet, you’re about 30 minutes from Fort William so it’s super convenient for day trips and to get supplies. Karl was super easy to work with he explained how to use the various items around the cabin. We can’t express more how much we enjoyed our stay here. It was fantastic and our favorite home away from home on our journeys through Scotland.

Rare et convivial

Nous avons passé de très bons moments entre amis dans ce châlet. Les équipements et la décoration dans cet hébergement tout en bois sont en harmonie. La vue de la terrasse est splendide, le calme et la nature sont au rendez-vous. Si je devais revenir à Fort William je reprendrai cet hébergement. Le propriétaire a été très accueillant et reste disponible si besoin (il habite tout près du chalet)
