'We chose this property so we could wintergreen resort and the local breweries, but the best part was the beautiful hiking trails behind the property. One of the best hikes I’ve ever been on.'

'We chose this property for its proximity to Early Mountain Vineyards, which was our primary destination, but we loved coming back to the cottage and making a wood fire with the complimentary wood the owner left us! We ended up not cooking anything ourselves, but all the necessary supplies were there if we had wanted to. A nice secluded spot right next to a river!'

'The cottage was beautiful. Very nicely decorated, had many amenities, like bathrobes, which we loved. It’s the little things :-) The WiFi was great, which was important to us, because we worked from there. It is in a perfect location between downtown Charlottesville and all the wineries. The property manager was very quick to reply to all my questions, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!'

'Had the chance to stay here with my teenage son while we toured the caverns in the local area. The host is honestly one of the best I've encountered, providing perfect directions and being super flexible as we had to make some last-minute changes. The property is gorgeous and perfectly separated from the main property, leaving you in the silence of nature and ability to view all of the stars. One of most beautiful porches we have ever sipped coffee on, with a breath taking view of the valley below and blue ridges in the distance. 'The property itself met my expectations and was pleasant to stay at, however, upon check-in i was told that there would be an extra cleaning fee (expedia wont let me include the price but it was a good amount). I was a little surprised and wished they had made that more clear before i booked the property, but at that point i had to pay the fee.
