'The cottage was clean and bright. The location was convenient to many interesting towns and attractions and was in a safe and quiet area. The bonus was the sauna that was also very clean and enjoyed by both of us. This was not a 5 star hotel but a perfect place for us to celebrate our 40th Anniversary without the disturbances typically associated with a hotel. THANK YOU!!'

'I was in the lower level suite with king size bed, living room and kitchen. It certainly went beyond my expectations and was very affordable. The historic house is beautifully renovated with attention to detail. To Make matters even better , there's an unbelievable French restaurant one block away. The room was smaller than I originally thought, but it was extremely cozy and warm with all the nice amenities inside. We loved all the nice decoration and historical feeling the room has to offer. 'Very poor customer service! The owner wasn't friendly and helpful. I understand we are going through difficult times but if you don't know how to deal with the stress of the situation then close your business. I asked for hot water in a paper cup for a medication. The owner made a fuss about it. The TV in the room wasn't working the owner got frustrated after he found out. Go someplace else where they would appreciate your business.'

'The hostess reached out well before our stay with check in details and other local information. We stayed in early May. The main house and cottage are located down a long drive. The cottage sits a little off to the side with the bedroom/office facing the river. The layout of the cottage is very efficient. 'I’ve read some other comments about this being an older property. Honestly, any motel is going to be older. I found this motel to be in very good condition overall. My room was very clean and very comfortable. It was fully stocked with all of the typical hotel items. The kitchen was stocked with most anything you would need, though I only stayed one night and did not cook.
