Was a little worried when booking stay due to lack of reviews but it appears to be a recently renovated and listed property. We loved the property, it is well maintained and was renovated with a nice Japanese/Western influence. Upstairs bedrooms are converted attic space with Tatami floors and Futons. One upper bedroom had tv. Layout of house is unique from a western perspective anyhow. There are two different upstairs bedroom units. Each with own stairs but do not connect between them. One of the upstairs has a bathroom and shower but the other does not. One bedroom downstairs. That being said it has a lot of stairs. They are narrow and steep going up stairs. There is also one short set of steps between entry level (with bedroom, toilet and bath) to the kitchen/living area. We are in our 70s so the steps were a bit of an issue but not bad unless going upstairs. Traveled with a 12 year old who loved the idea of being alone upstairs. The other caveat is it is next to a rail line. While the noise is noticeable we did not find it a problem howevere a lite sleeper might. The owner provided many small extra amenities Such as coffee (instant but quite good) tea, lots of extra toiletries, laundry detergent and other items not normally found in a unit. There was a very good book provided explaining AC controls, laundry, and other items rules and tips on local stores/restraints YES TO DRAGON BURGER, right up the road. We loved it and would book it again
