Lakefront Getaway

Lake house right on the waterfront of Lake Tawakoni. Come and have a great time at this wonderful getaway. Bring your boat, jet skis and water toys to make lifelong memories. Private dock to tie up boat for entire stay. Hammock, fire pit and bbq to relax after a day on the water. Property faces west for year round sunsets. Pets are permitted for a$100 fee. Yard is fenced as well as patio with a doggie gate.

Grass was not mowed. Had to clear spiderwebs and wasps nest on front entry. The back door would not shut. One bathroom door had no lock and would not shut. The large bedroom ac was completely shut off. It took 10 hours to cool down. Owner apologized said had new grounds keeper....said he told cleaning person to turn on ac in master bedroom but they forgot he guesses.

Overall enjoyed the stay though

We couldn't get the Mini split to work in the room with the king bed. We had ants in the bathroom and the kitchen. The peer was not fixed for us to use it so we had to fish else where. Other than this it was good. Lots of room.

Family fourth of july fun

It was very spacious both in main room and bedrooms. Having 3 bathrooms was a blessing after being on the lake all day and everyone wanting to clean up. We knew the dock was in need of repairs so we adapted when family members wanted to fish. Many fish were caught! We enjoyed our family time together!

Great getaway and fishing despite the weather!

Our only complaint (besides driving through Dallas lol) was the dock is small ,uncovered and needs work but we were still able to catch some nice catfish from there and from the shore. The house is nice and comfortable with two decks and plenty of windows.

Should not be listed for rental on VRBO until septic sewerage system is fixed. Could not flush used toilet paper down the toilet. Had to put fecesed toilet paper into plastic bag and place in outside dumpster. Beds are old and need to be replaced

Was a nice place

Property was nice, great water view. Owners very helpful and quick to respond. I read some reviews about AC issues, it was hot when we got there and took some time to cool down but it was 105 outside at 4pm and my AC at my house does not like this summer either and it stays on all day. But after we went out on the boat for a few hours we came back to a nice cool house with great water pressure and comfortable beds to sleep in. Back pouch was nice for me and an old friend to catch up on and have coffee while we waited for the kids to get up. Would stay here again if the need or time comes up. If you bring a boat launch on the west side of the bridge. You will be glad you did.

We had a good time. Caught plenty of fish. My wife almost caught her limit down at the dock one morning. 19 blues and 3 channel cat. Wish the washer and dryer were working. Had to drive to Alba one night to do laundry. Other than that it was great.,

Cobwebs and spiders all over the house! Dirty, glasses, pots & pans, cabinets and on & on. Sat down for dinner 1st night and our food & some of us got soaked by a hugh water leak from the ceiling. Contacted owner and he was suprised to hear this. Nothing new to him actually, it had been patched up in several places. Said roofer would be out next day. Rain let up so said roofer would be out the next day after we check out. Filled a tote and a half up with dripping water. Some chairs and the table have water damage. Also bedroom with king bed had no heat!! Whole house smelled of mold and dust. No wash towels in king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom only had 1 wash towel. Everywhere you looked needed repaired and cleaned. Refrigerator had food left inside. I wrote "dust me" on a side table. We all woke up today with either sore throats, running eyes, coughing, ect. Not a good weekend at all. Actually feel we totally need a full refund. Terrible- worse rental property ever!!

READ THIS BEFORE RENTING: Needs work

We were disappointed about a number of things during our stay. - air conditioning/temperature in house was not effective… some rooms were cooler than others. Master and attached room (should NOT be considered a 4th bedroom as there is no air vent) were very hot as it is a converted garage with gaps in the wall/floor where you can actually see sunlight coming through. We looked to see if possibly it was an air filter issue and found there wasn’t even a filter and the air was pulled from the musky/moldy ground under the house with nothing filtering it. - cleanliness/ towels— house could have been cleaner. There were 5 of us and only 6 towels out. We searched and found two full laundry baskets of dirty towels and the washing machine full of dirty linens and towels. We contacted the owner and he sent someone out to unlock a closet that had more towels. - gaps under door to patio allowed numerous wasps to get in during our stay - pier to go out fishing was not level and rickety… a bit scary to walk down - land was not kept up with many branches down (had been down for a long time as evidenced by leaves on them) there was a broken street light just laying on the ground. Had to move the water hose which was right in front of the back stairs. The hand soap bottle in kitchen was refilled with water with very little soap.the refrigerator was filthy with yellowed ice. - arbor/sitting area outside - we were under impression that was a covered sitting area but it was full of junk and debris - grill/s - we brought our steaks,burgers, etc to grill. The grill on the covered patio was filthy and we were not comfortable using it. We reached out to the owner and he said there was another grill in the arbor outside but it was in even worse condition. We ended up going to the store and buying one to use and then had to leave it as we had no room to bring it home. -water pressure was bad, very hard to take a shower or even wash dishes - “instruction book” said we were supposed to not throw any toilet paper in toilets but instead put it away bro trash cans. This was completely unsanitary and disgusting -ants were in two of the three bathrooms Over all, we would not stay here again. If a lot of work was put into it, it could be a good rental.

A Fun Weekend!

We had a great time staying at the Lakeview Getaway. Great house, great views. Furniture was comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. Hosts responded quickly to all our questions. It was big enough that we weren't tripping over each other all weekend. We have talked about going back next year for our ladies weekend trip. We were not disappointed. Thanks, James & Daynara

Sibling get together

Loved the house. Great sunset pictures. My fur babies loved the yard. Great view of the lake. Had a great week. Fishing, sitting by the fire, and enjoying spending time with family.
