Warme en uitnodigende, gezinsgerichte hut op de kreek.

Welkom in Duncan's Den, vernoemd naar ons geliefde zwarte lab. Deze hut is gezellig en uitnodigend met alle gemakken van thuis. Het is een perfect uitje voor gezinnen, vrienden en koppels.
Binnenin vindt u een open plattegrond met een woonkamer en eetkamer. Net buiten de woon / eetkamer is een half bad / wasruimte. Er is een grote, goed uitgeruste keuken met potten, pannen, borden, bestek, crockpot, koffiezetapparaat, enz. En een ontbijtruimte.
Boven heeft 3 slaapkamers (6 personen comfortabel), een complete badkamer en een inloopkast. Twee slaapkamers hebben queen size bedden en de 3e slaapkamer heeft twee aparte bedden. Er zijn voldoende dressoirs en kastruimte om uit te pakken en u thuis te voelen.
Buiten heeft een grote, diepe veranda met schommelstoelen en schommel. Het is de perfecte plek om te zitten tijdens de zomerregenbuien. Ontspan terwijl je geniet van het uitzicht en de geluiden van de prachtige Penns Creek. Misschien zie je een Amerikaanse zeearend, reigers, eenden en ganzen. Er is een royale tuin ruimte perfect voor kinderen en huisdieren en een eigen vuurplaats in de achtertuin. Prive-toegang tot de kreek om te vissen, kajaks / kano's te lanceren, in het water te spelen of gewoon te ontspannen.
Terwijl u hier bent, moet u zeker de vele wijnhuizen in de omgeving bezoeken, Penns Creek Pottery, T & D's Cats of the World, Penn's Cave, PA Grand Canyon, Raymond B. Winter State Park, Gettysburg National Park, Buffalo Valley Rail Trail (trail head achter Amy's Frosty Freeze in Mifflinburg), Knoebels Amusement Resort, Hershey Park, antiekwinkels en geweldige restaurants in de buurt. De universiteiten Penn State, Bucknell en Susquehanna liggen op 20-60 minuten afstand.
Hunters - de State Game Lands zijn dichtbij.
Fly Fisherman - trofee forel sectie is slechts een paar mijl stroomopwaarts.
Er is L&L Marketplace ongeveer 4 mijl ten zuiden (zeer dicht bij Shade Mountain Winery, een must stop!) Of Weis-markten in Mifflinburg, ongeveer 5. 2 mijl, waar u voedsel kunt inslaan.
Geniet van Service elektrische kabel en WIFI tijdens uw verblijf.
Baby poort / corral zijn voorzien voor de boven- en onderkant van de trap.
De cabine wordt zorgvuldig schoongemaakt tussen elke gast en fris beddengoed en handdoeken zijn aanwezig.

Relaxing weekend on Penn’s Creek

Location was perfect for long weekend in town visiting family. We enjoyed seeing the eagle in the morning and relaxing on the deck overlooking the water at the end of the day. Staircase to upper floor where bedrooms are located is pretty steep so getting luggage upstairs could be difficult for seniors. Also a step down into the kitchen as well as the laundry room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Family weekend getaway

Memorial day weekend was a lot of fun. The photos make it seem like the river is closer but we still had a great time. The neighbors cats cans over and kept my kids entertained on the front porch. The porch swing was a nice touch. Very comfortable vibe.

My wife, dog, and I took a weekend away from everything at this wonderful cabin. Loved morning coffee swinging on the porch watching the creek flow by. At night we enjoyed fires along the creek. Super close to plenty of parks and hiking trails which our dog loved. Recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet getaway!

Purrrfect Place

We had the best time here over this past rainy weekend despite the weather! Our two families with two young kids slept comfortably in this cottage that had everything we could have possibly needed and more. The decor is so charming and the property was spotless. The area by the creek will be lovely for when we come back sometime to enjoy the water during nicer weather. Having a second fire pit near the house was clutch. Our kids’ favorite part was spending so much time with the friendly neighborhood cats that loved to snuggle with whomever was sitting in the front porch rocking chairs. The front porch is an ideal coffee spot. Highly recommend!!

Quick trip for a wedding

The property was perfectly located where we had to go. Much better alternative than a long ride to a hotel. The place was clean. The managers/hosts were attentive and responsive. Bonfire on the creek was a perfect way to cap a day which included a long drive. The kayaks the next morning in the middle of the stream to see tons of fish and a bald eagle overhead. Definitely would stay again.

Relaxing front porch

My wife and I, along with our son, his wife and infant child enjoyed a weekend away. Most of the time we spent eating and chilling on the front porch as we enjoyed the sounds and sights of the creek flowing by. Also fished and kayaked. The cabin has everything you need. It is clean and thoughtfully furnished. Beds are very comfortable. Check in and communication was easy. Would highly recommend for a family cabin vacation.

Fabulous!

We had a fun and relaxing time! The house is beautiful and we are in love with the front porch! Scenery was stunning and the creek was super fun to kayak and fish on (caught a few bass). The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. Bedrooms were nice and cozy. Shower/bathroom very clean. We checked out T&D’s Cats of the World as well—we really liked it as it is a sanctuary for the mistreated and unwanted. So beautiful! Definitely plan on coming back. Highly recommended! Nice getaway

We just wanted a couple days to have a quiet get away and this house fit the bill. Great communication with the owners. The house was great, clean, and accommodating. We had a nice time sitting on the porch during a thunderstorm watching the lake. A bit more traffic at times from the street before the lake than we expected, lots of large trucks and construction vehicles driving fast, so we had to make sure the dogs and kid were accounted for at all times, but plenty of room in the back to hang out and overall a relaxing and pleasant stay.

Very Nice Location

It was my wife and I with two kids ages 10 and 12. Property was as described. Cabin by the edge of the river. Kids enjoyed messing around in the water. We also enjoyed the fishing. Mixed bag of trout, bass, and panfish in front of the property. Cabin has all the essentials needed and the bottle of wine was a great surprise. Area is convenient as well. Towns close by with groceries, shops, and places to eat.
