I have owned VRBO's and know that things can happen...but this stay was well beyond anything reasonable. I also grew up in this town and am well aware of mold, weather elements and yet there seemed to be total disregard for general rental worthiness! No internet for 2 days, although the manager insisted it was working. Finally a friend/associate came to resolve the evening of the 2nd night. Suggested to manager that she needed a dresser or, at minimum, luggage racks in the bedrooms...she insisted there was a dresser. Apparently she had mixed up units and thought there was a dresser. She said people generally use the closet (no shelving) and I wondered if she hangs her under ware, bras, socks, bathing suits, shorts, etc? Screened door was on the floor upon check in and manager acknowledged this to be true and said she had not been able to repair before our reservation. We were unable to leave the doors open for ventilation because of the bugs, etc. A nice gentleman came after hours 2 days later, spendin 3hours repairing the screen door, using his car headlights to repair. The lights were shining into the living room for that duration.There was a broken window glass in the living room and window was inoperable. Two other doors, laundry room and closet, were not attached to their hinges and just leaning on the wall. Kitchen pots and pans were well used and ready for replacement. No towel racks in bathroom, holes in wall where they once were located.
