'The building was beautiful outside and the inside was gorgeous as it was an old bank. The staff was friendly but our room wasn’t serviced 2 days in a row and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Then Monday we checked out there was no one to help us with our luggage. We had to haul the stuff ourselves. Just wasn’t impressed with the services as a Marriott.'

'First hostel I visited during my trip. I stayed in a shared bunk bed room. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Beds were comfortable as well. 'Great location! They have a few bicycles to go to the beach. The neighbourhood has some fine restaurants. You can walk to the ferry that brings you into the Gaslamp district. Unfortunately the price for this 3 minute cross-over is priced a 8 US$ single journey. '

'Staff was amazing. Very accommodating. They let us check in about 4 hours early and held our bags after we checked out for another 4 hours. Farmers market was right outside.
