Terrible food! However the staff are great! If you want to walk out from the resort to the beach this is not the resort for you. The beach has erosion, lots a rocks and no where to lay out and you are unable to walk along the beach. Resort if very laid back so if you are looking for a party vibe or fun activities pick another resort. Also bad alcohol selection….top self is watered down as well!!!

Beautiful property, great service and staff, I am a gold hilton rewards member but will never stay here again. Stay away unless you want to go broke. Dining option's are terrible, Buffett closes at 4:30 pm. 4 other resturants operated on alternate nights. Beautiful pool, if you choose to find a lounge chair you must pay $130 a day for a cabana all lounges go with cabanas. No stocked liquor in the rooms, only 2 beers and a coke, dont ask for more thats the limit. Name brand drinks are extra only local stuff. So in closing my advice stay away from American companys trying to operate hotels in mexico. We are going back to the RIU brand, they know how to operate hotels in Mexico.

Love the hotel the only issue is that Expedia customers do not receive the same level of service such as premium drinks cost extra and at a very high price for the difference.

We had the best time! Service-Excellent Pool-Excellent Food-Excellent Beach-Okay. Water was pretty, but not accessible due to the amount of the rocks. Plus, large amount of the Sargasm blooms on the beach, but that’s not their fault. We would definitely return to Hilton Playa Del Carmen.

The service from everyone was TOP NOTCH. Luis the catering manager and his staff in SPICE and MARIA P Restaurant really went out of their way for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but I have one concern regarding the pool area. Despite the agreement we signed not to reserve lounge chairs with towels, it seemed that many guests disregarded this rule. As a result, those who arrived early to use the pool were unable to find available chairs. It would be appreciated if the resort could enforce this rule more effectively to ensure fairness for all guests.

This was our second stay here. It has improved noticeably in the last few years. Good value for money and probably the best place to stay in Playa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was unbelievably kind and attentive, and the rooms were always kept spotless. The food was excellent, but some restaurants were better than others. I would stay away from any of the paid meals. Room service was always timely but the food was either amazing or mediocre. Drinks were ok and plentiful but felt a little watered down at times. The resort should replace the hot tubs in the bedrooms with a larger dresser and desk. We stayed in a king oceanfront walkout but the benefit was diminished by the bushes in front. Playa should replace the lawn cabanas with a cabana and chairs at the nearby pool as a standard accommodation with this pricy room. All in all it was a wonderful week and we look forward to going again next year.

Nice resort and conveniently located near 5th Ave. Staff are very friendly and they ensure that you have everything you need. The biggest drawback we experienced was how many up charges there were for a resort that is supposed to be 'all-inclusive'.

This is the 2nd time I’ve come to this resort and I love it. I’ve been to MX a handful of times and this resort is my favorite. The location, it’s right by the 5th avenue strip which is nice to get off the resort and shop. Also a short walk from the ferry to Cozumel. The resort itself is great. The food and the staff and 10/10. Would come here again.

The resort is very nice, staff is very friendly, and I really like that it was super clean. Very lively night life off the resort and very safe. My husband smokes but there is no smoking on the resort. Overall great experience.

El trato del personal de restaurantes excelente. Pero el trato del personal de recepción y alrededores descortés, no se les puede decir nada porque se molestan. Hay para variar preferencia al turismo internacional. El personal del área 24 muy grosero. En teoría es todo incluido y hay camastros que se cobran 100 dólares. Eso si, la comida muy buena.

When you have to pay to sit by the pool, I do not consider it “all-inclusive.” The pool is completely surrounded by cabanas that cost over $100 per day depending on location and service. There are minimal “free” chairs near the pool. At the evening show, there are “reserved” tables surrounding the show area that block the viewing of the show. Restaurants were good but food was not nearly as good as when it was the Royal Playa del Carmen. Some wait staff were not as friendly as in the past, others were very kind and friendly….a training issue. The beach again has cabanas for rent but also has cabanas with very uncomfortable chairs that are part of the all inclusive. The beach is noisy as there are tractors picking up seaweed and there is a hotel next to the property that has a party deck by the beach. Beach size seems reduced because of the number of cabanas. Based on comparison to what this resort used to be when Royal Playa del Carmen, we would not return, mainly because the “all inclusive” is more of a selective all inclusive and the food was mediocre for the price.
