Unfortunately, this resort did not meet our expectations, especially considering we stayed during Christmas and New Year’s and paid extra for an upgrade to The Reserve, which was not worth the money. The Reserve area was just as quiet and uneventful as the rest of the resort, with no meaningful perks to justify the added cost.
The biggest issue was the lack of entertainment and overall energy. The resort was not lively at all, even on New Year’s Eve. The DJ with the violin played repetitive, boring music, and the vibe felt forced rather than celebratory. They even charged for tables to enter the New Year’s event, yet failed to create a fun or festive adult-only celebration, which is what we expected for an adults-focused resort experience.
Service throughout the stay was very slow, and the hotel felt clearly understaffed. Employees were constantly approaching us to attend breakfast presentations for the Circle membership, which became annoying and disruptive — if guests are interested, they should be able to ask on their own.
Cleanliness was also an issue. Several restrooms around the resort were dirty, and some restaurant bathrooms had an overwhelming amount of artificial fragrance, which was unpleasant.
The only real positive was that the resort is pet-friendly, and that part of the experience was great for our dog. Unfortunately, for us, the stay quickly became boring and frustrating. We would not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a lively atmosphere.
