'Surprising my mom for her birthday, this was one the best places I've stayed in thus far. Besides the gorgeous view, it was spacious and cozy. The kitchen flowed right onto the balcony where you can enjoy a quick BBQ. The sunlight that brightens the house with the ceiling to floor windows was welcoming every morning and every sunset. Spacious parking for visitors and with a washer/dryer made this a very comfortable stay. You also have the beach down the street for a great walk with a great view....

'This house fit all 9 of us comfortably. The old house is a little creaky, but has lots of character. Having three bathrooms was a plus! It has absolutely everything. All the kitchen stuff you would need, lots a games and puzzles, a large deck and yard with lots of outdoor furniture and even a propane heater and fire table. We stayed there for my son's wedding at Thornewood Castle, and my whole family had a great time.'

'House was as advertised. The family room was a comfortable place to gather and the trunk full of blankets was a welcome and cozy discovery when we sat down to watch a movie. Wish there was a table lamp or two in that room. Having the overhead light on all the time isn't ideal. Comforters in two of the bedrooms were sporting stains that didn't take too much brain power to imagine the source of, so that was kind of nasty... They went straight to the floor. 'The Little Red Cottage is a very cute tiny. It is well-equipped and nicely decorated with bright colors. We were there in the winter so we didn't get to see the trees and flowers in bloom, but the yard was well-cared-for and would certainly be beautiful Spring through Fall. I loved the selection of reading material that was available in the cottage. It was clear that the cottage is a project the hosts are committed to. There were many touches of their love of hospitality throughout the home.'

'Wonderful Puget Sound views from this new home that needs some finishing touches to be perfect. Top of the line appliances, including a washer and dryer. However, the beds were much too hard for our tastes. They are probably fine for those who like to sleep on their backs. The host lives in Korea, but answers his American cellphone in a timely manner.'

'I’ve stayed here at the cottage numerous times when I’ve come out to visit my kids in Burien. It always feels just like my home away from home. Very comfortable and quiet, but also right around the corner from lots of great restaurants and shopping.'
