Great location, (normally) good value for money
Management (Joshua) is away most of the time and does not supervise much. My last days there he was ill and did not come in at all. On a personal level Joshua is a good guy but the overall situation is a bit chaotic. Most guests are experienced travellers so they organize themselves and help newcomers finding an empty bed, even lending out air mattresses. The lack of supervision makes for untidyness in kitchen, bathrooms and dorms. When I left the place ran out of toilet paper, clean bedsheets and towels. If things don't change it's gonna turn bad to worse I'm afraid, which is a pity because it has all the potential to be one of the best hostels around (not too big, good location, very nice southern-style house with front and back porches, comfortable community-places). What I hear from some residents (students who do research projects in a University or the National Archives) it was very well organized until the end of february 2016. At this moment this place thrives on the good will of guests.
