'I stood in the Tropical 18 years ago. I stood at the Palace this time with my sister and neice. The resort his huge and requires at lot of walking from room 8769 to buffet. The double decker buses were nice to help get around. The food was not good, not even the specialty restaurants, except Rodizio and Tokyo was good. The breakfast buffet at the Coloniel was better than at the Palace and the hotel itself was prettier than the palace. The pools are huge and there was always enough chairs...

'Het is een groot complex en daar moet je van houden; het is dus overal behoorlijk druk. M.n. Amerikanen en Mexicanen, met hun eigen gewoontes. Strand en zee erg mooi, hoewel er in de zee veel (grote) stenen liggen en je even moet oppassen als je erin loopt. Je ligt onder een palmboom op een wit strand, super. Buffet was compleet en je krijgt netjes een tafel toegewezen; geen Turkse resort taferelen, men is erg beleefd. Minpunten: betalen voor wifi is zo niet meer van deze tijd. Het enig hotel...

'This is a very unique hotel in the area of Puerto Aventuras, an area that is otherwise quite dominated by big chain resort hotels. The staff are exceptionally friendly and makes you feel like you're part of a family rather than 'just another tourist'. Breakfasts are amazing! Rooms were clean and comfortable, great design of the hotel inside and outside. You can also use their bicycles which is a fun way to go around the town.'

'The property is great, the rooms are good size. The property is located in the middle of a big road between playa del carmen and Tulum and there’s nothing around. You need to take a taxi if you want to go downtown Tulum, or playa del Carmen and the taxi prices are ridiculously expensive. You can’t take uber in here. I would recommend this place if you have a car or if you plan to stay in the hotel the whole time. '
