'This is a very unique hotel in the area of Puerto Aventuras, an area that is otherwise quite dominated by big chain resort hotels. The staff are exceptionally friendly and makes you feel like you're part of a family rather than 'just another tourist'. Breakfasts are amazing! Rooms were clean and comfortable, great design of the hotel inside and outside. You can also use their bicycles which is a fun way to go around the town.'

'Het is een groot complex en daar moet je van houden; het is dus overal behoorlijk druk. M.n. Amerikanen en Mexicanen, met hun eigen gewoontes. Strand en zee erg mooi, hoewel er in de zee veel (grote) stenen liggen en je even moet oppassen als je erin loopt. Je ligt onder een palmboom op een wit strand, super. Buffet was compleet en je krijgt netjes een tafel toegewezen; geen Turkse resort taferelen, men is erg beleefd. Minpunten: betalen voor wifi is zo niet meer van deze tijd. Het enig hotel...

'My husband and I had the best time at Unico for my 40th birthday. The staff were so attentive - Erik was amazing and made sure we had dinner reservations each night. He even went above and beyond to coordinate an in-room surprise for my birthday. The French restaurant was incredible - highly recommend. The spa was so relaxing. The pools were lovely. 'Loved the stay as we got married at this resort 15 years ago. I did let them know about our anniversary but nothing was mentioned from them, little disappointing. Also the ladies at the front that talked us into going to talk about a time share was a bad experience. They told us and hour and a half took 3 hours of our day plus travel. They lied about why we were going they and didn’t tell me what it was. Staff at the resort were really good. It’s very clean.'
