'The location is fantastic. I was a little disappointed in the quality of bar and restaurant. There is no longer a continental breakfast (which was so good!) The new menu is lackluster. The bar menu is limited and blended drinks were bland. The pizza was good though. '

'This is a very unique hotel in the area of Puerto Aventuras, an area that is otherwise quite dominated by big chain resort hotels. The staff are exceptionally friendly and makes you feel like you're part of a family rather than 'just another tourist'. Breakfasts are amazing! Rooms were clean and comfortable, great design of the hotel inside and outside. You can also use their bicycles which is a fun way to go around the town.'

'Decently nice property. Low rating is due to the food. It was terrible. The food was worse than school cafeteria food. The steak at the Italian restaurant was like a Salisbury steak with the consistency of heavy jello. We had to upgrade the premier dining options to access halfway edible food. Drinks were fine, and the staff was friendly with good service. At over $600 per night, I expect decent food. '

'The little cabana has very comfortable bed, ac, kitchenette and hot shower! I think we had the best hot shower during our trip. I love the jungle with the duck. The pool was perfect. 'The entire staff at the resort are amazing. Our concierge Gina was very helpful with recommendations for tours off the property, and things to do on the property. Carlos and Dieder from the entertainment team were full of energy and so genuine in their desire to make sure we were engaged and having fun. We enjoyed volleyball, live music, bike ride into Akumal and other shows put on by the entertainment team. There was always something to do if you wanted to be interactive. Jose was our pool...
