'Wasn’t aware until shortly before our visit that we’d booked during the Appleby Horse Fair so following a Police advisory, they weren’t selling alcohol. Which was a shame as I like to drink local brewery beer when away, but we were allowed to bring our own bottles. In all other respects, our stay was amazing!'

'We had a great time at Appleby Castle it was everything we expected until we arrived home when the hotel decided to charge me and my husband our check out bill twice on 2 different cards! We tried to contact the hotel several ways with no response even now after several weeks of returning I still haven't had a response from the hotel.
