Rather heading to Folley Beach, or downtown Charleston for a day of shopping, sightseeing or an incredible dinner, the Cottage is centrally located to everything we wanted to do. 'This property has been done extremely well. It is high end with great finish out details. Our only criticism would be that the kitchen was absolutely bare from a essentials standpoint save for two small salt and pepper shakers. There was no sugar, spices, cooking oil, or coffee pods. At this price and quality, that’s not too much to ask for. I did not need the big canvas shopping bag advertising the property manager. 'Small but very comfortable separate building on the owners’ property in a mature, quiet development. Separate off-street parking with a private access to a private courtyard. Place was perfect for the two of us. It would have been tight with four people (max occupancy). Convenient to downtown Charleston (averaged about a 15 minute drive). Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the accommodations!'

'Our family loved staying here. It was a short walk to the beach and to Whaley's store for dinner. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunk bed. They also enjoyed the gaming table which is great for the rainy day or just while we were getting dinner ready. The kitchen was very nice with plenty of room to prep and cook with sharp knives. Overall our experience was great and we would definitely keep it in mind for future vacations.'

'The cottage was very clean and not a far drive from front gate. Easy to walk to pond and then to pool and beach so location was great for us as we enjoyed the treehouse feel. This home does have an older kitchen and bathrooms but worked well for our family of four and a large dog.'

There is lots of options to eat around the area, and it’s fairly secluded near lots of other hotels. it’s easy to find right off the highway A good central location if you are vacationing in Charleston. Having access to a full kitchen helps save money on eating out. I would recommend if your trip is 3 days'

'We really enjoyed our stay at The Iris. We stayed in a superior suite which was bright and light and with all that we needed for four nights. It turned out we were in a great area with lots of delicious dining options and a short walk from King Street which is the Main Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere. We would totally recommend and would come back if we visit Charleston again. '
