'Very cute, clean cabin. Off the beaten path and provided the quiet time we were looking for'

'House and property were just right for two large, families. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed the bike path behind the property, the fire pit, ping pong table, coffee bar, nice kitchen, dining table large enough for all of us, comfortable bedrooms… We also enjoyed the beautiful pond, but swimming/boating are discouraged and we would have liked more freedom to use the pond. There were tvs and WiFi boosters in every room and cameras on the property. We prefer to “unplug” on our vacations so...

'This cabin is so neat and unique! Three cozy stories beautifully decorated (the pictures don't do it justice). When we arrived the home was warm and cozy, lights already on. I wish the weather had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the fire pit more and the view of the woods out back. Lynn has thought of all your needs ...stocked with toiletries, first aid, hair dryer, etc. I would not advise it for anyone with issues climbing stairs....the home layout means lots of stair climbing needed. Wifi...

'Roomy, comfortable Cabin. Livingroom set up was accommodating. Food trays, tv, air, comfy seats. Loved sitting on the deck and gazing out at the pond. Saw a Night Heron, hawks, geese, turkey vultures, deer, turtles, and many song birds. Would stay here again. You are surrounded by country living.'

'We did a weekend stay, all adults. The rooms were nice, beds were comfortable. Only disappointment was the grill didn't work and the food stuck to the pans when we cooked. Home is located down the street from a small grocery store which was super convenient, and if we had wanted fast food it was close by as well. Nice home, good hosts.'

'Mostly very satisfied. Clean house, nice location near Nelsonville, quick response from owner. Only objections are a couple things that were not clear from the description: The home is near a fairly major road, so road noise at night was a minor issue. Also, the fire pit is on the side of a hill, so somewhat difficult to use.'

'We enjoyed our stay with extended family. Looked even better in person than online. Pluses: number of beds, well-stocked kitchen, new feel with aesthetic colors and designs, ample eating seating and couch seating, great hot tub. Minuses: a little far from main Hocking Hills trails, lack of hooks in bedrooms/bathrooms, house temperatures were uneven.'

'Such a sweet, peaceful spot. I loved sitting at the picnic table in the AM with my coffee watching the sun come up over the hill as the mist burned off and the baby goats frolicked in the field. Just as relaxing was the night time cup of tea on the front porch watching the sun set.'

'The place was very clean. It was chilly at first but the heaters made it very comfortable. Great location as well.'

'We had an AMAZING, the house was cozy and very comfortable. Very clean and had everything that we needed.'

'Perfect location for our family. The cabin was also perfect for our family. Great size and had everything we needed!'

'This is a charming old house that was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed a dinner at Rhapsody restaurant that was a 5 minute walk into town. The restaurant is staffed by the culinary students from the college in town. Hiking trails in Hocking Hills were between 20-30 minutes. The only cliché was that the Wi-Fi was out for our two night stay but we made it work. We will definitely come back.'

'The owners were very kind to allow us a 1 night stay and answered questions quickly. It was just the right size for my husband, dog & I but would have been a tight squeeze with any more people. Comfy bed & was nice to have little treats waiting for us. Just located in a backyard setting, but close to Hocking Hills & restaurants. Perfect if you just need a place to stay while hiking.'

'We enjoyed our stay at black bear lodge. The cabin was very secluded and quiet. We enjoyed using the hot tub in the evening after a long hike. The cabin was very spacious and clean. We would stay here again!'

'A really beautiful and relaxing property. We had a team off-site meeting and this place was perfect for us to meet comfortably and enjoy all of the fun amenities (e.g., pickleball, basketball, shuffleboard, a pool table, etc.) Also, it is a short drive to a ton of great hiking and outdoor activities. This would be an amazing property for a group of friends or family reunion. The host was very responsive and worked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. You can't go wrong with this...

'Clean, spacious, amazing view, hot tub off main floor was a plus, not off the basement like most rentals. Table was big enough for all 11 of us to play cards and boardgames. We go every year over presidents day weekend and this was our favorite so far!'

'Loved being on the river. Decks were great for relaxing and enjoying the water front. Unfortunately we had to leave a night earlier than planned due to a river flood warning and storms. I would recommend a microwave, a dresser or closet of some kind and a saucepan. House was clean and new inside.'

'Nice little cabin, overall good, everything was functional. The only comlaint is the mattress on the bed was probably manufactured sometime around the beggining of the jurrasic era. Made sleep all but impossible. Two people roll to the center and sink. Other than that all was good.'
