'My family and I spent one night at the Orman Mansion on our way back to Denver from Carlsbad. We were contacted with check-in instructions early in the day and were able to arrange a later than normal check-in time. When we arrived we were greeted by one of the owner's of the property and told we had the whole place to ourselves and were able to explore the open areas. 'We were visiting our son in the military for the weekend and wanted a small break away. The space was decorated very well and everything was clean and in working order. The fist night was great as we did not have neighbors in the adjoining space. Night 2 was a different story. With the thinner walls and a loud barking dog, we could not get much sleep. The owners took care of notifying the other tenants, but we decided that we did not want to take the risk of another night with the barking dog....

'The location was great. Easy to get to all Pikes Peak/Colorado Springs sites. This is a downstairs suite of a house with a separate deck and entrance. The stone steps along the side of the house will be tricky if wet or snowy. Check in and communication with host was good.'

'We needed a place with a great yard for our dogs and this fit the bill. The views of Pikes Peak and garden of the gods are amazing! The house was clean; however many of the dishes were dirty and toaster oven hadn’t been cleaned out. This is a hazard of having guests do their own dishes upon departure that we’ve noticed in other rentals as well. We’re accustomed to washing everything we use before using it so no big deal to us. We would stay again, the owner is very responsive to any request.'
