Keurig hotel, houd rekening met geluidsoverlast
Het hotel is gelegen midden in het centrum, dichtbij het busstation en het strand! Ideaal. Keurig hotel, met een prettig zwembad bovenop het dak. Houd er echter rekening mee dat twee deuren verderop een kroeg/discotheek ligt. Mexicanen houden van heel harde muziek. Wil je slapen en heb je een kamer aan de voorkant, dat kan pas vanaf 04.00. Wij hebben geklaagd en gevraagd om oordopjes. De reactie was teleurstellend, geen andere kamer in een half leeg hotel en oordopjes moesten we dan maar zelf gaan kopen (midden in de nacht). Voor lunchtijd verwezen ze ons naar de Subway en Walmart.. Kortom prettig hotel, maar houd rekening met geluidsoverlast en matige service.

De kamer waren schoon en werden dagelijks schoongemaakt, ook op zondag. Personeel was erg hulpzaam met onze vragen. Helaas had het hotel geen eigen restaurant, met een bon konden we onze onbijt nutigen in een restaurant op de hoek. Zat geen variatie in de keuze mogelijkheden, de koffie was niet lekker, tegenbetaling kon je een cappuccino krijgen dat weer wel heerlijk was. Op de site van Expedia werd niet vermeld dat het hotel geen restaurant had, maar wel inclusief ontbijt aanbood op de site.

My mom and I loved our stay at Antera! All the staff at the hotel and restaurant were so lovely, and our room was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable. Our room (3rd floor residences) also faced the courtyard, so the nightlife noise was minimal (and only on the weekends). The only small issues we had were our showers not heating up well, and the 12am quiet hours not always being upheld. Thank you everyone at Antera for making our stay wonderful!

Antera was perfect for what my family needed. Walking distance to the beach, safe, lots of shops and restaurants close by, nightlife, and close to Xcaret park. We had to wait until 3pm to get our room but that’s check-in.

Luv this place...it's an affordable gem right in the heart of Playa del Carmen. Full modern kitchens with two restaurants, a bar & two pools. Two blocks from the beach, one block from the lively 8th Avenue, don't need a car. You get an authentic Mexican experience. Been there 5 times in 2 years...need I say more?

love the location of this property, just a block away from Quinta avenida in PdelC. and one block away from a delicious fonda were we had the best tinga chicken of the whole trip! we had a car, that we left in the parking included and the apartment was spotless!

The rooms are clean and spacy. The front desk staff is friendly and willing to help with special requests. I have stayed four nights at the hotel. My original room was facing the street. There is a club/bar down the street from the hotel with loud music until 3am! Even with closed balcony doors the music is loud. I've managed to sleep with one of the heavy pillows over my head. I have asked the front desk staff for a new room that would not be facing the street. They were not able to accommodate me in the first two nights but, they did move me for the last two days of my stay.

Great location. Pool was nice. Grateful we could shower with later departure. Kitchen was pretty well stocked. Glad it had laundry. One older security guard was super kind. Good for families. Beach very close.

The pools could have been much warmer—as expected, there was lots of nightlife noise. However, there are lovely views from the rooftop. The housekeepers were great, and the staff was friendly and informative.

We had a great stay at this property. Check in was easy, as was the self parking. We stayed in the family apartment and had plenty of space and loved the rooftop terrace. The location was also great, and was in close proximity to the ferry, beach, bars, restaurants, and shopping - all within walking distance. We would stay here again.

Property was clean. Never felt unsafe walking outside. It did get loud over the weekend, but it was to be expected. Photo opportunity throughout the building. Short walk to the beach and has a pool as well. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Very noisy every night until 3 am in the morning. No coffee station or coffee to purchase anywhere in the building. Not any vending machines for water or anything else. Your room is not safe because they say they are not responsible for anything taken from your room. So if you lose money or any of your belongings, that should be safe in your room, they are not responsible. So we never let anyone clean our room. Because allowing the housekeeper in your room means they can steal anything and the hotel says they are not responsible. This was uncomfortable feeling to say the least. The bed was comphy and the rooftop beautiful and that was all that was good.

First time I stayed in September was a great experience. This experience wasn’t so great due to a dirty jacuzzi, a leaky A/C, Unchanged sheets when requested, A dirty cheese grader in the clean cabinets, a clogged toilet, not giving new toilet paper rolls everyday, and denying any type of guest to your room…Family included, since we were visiting a cousin. I was not expecting this since I had the best experience (5months ago) in September of 2023.
