'What a beautiful apartment, close to wine country and in beautiful surroundings. Very modern finishes and beautifully decorated with attention to detail, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor patio. We were two couples so the two bedroom, two bathroom was a perfect arrangement. We also enjoyed the property with sunset views from barn. Very convenient to wineries and hosts were hospitable and responsive!'

'We enjoyed our stay and thought the place was very cute and cozy. The hot tub unfortunately wasn’t warming up because of the weather being too cold but it was still an enjoyable stay.'

'We rented this place for a small family gathering and extra places for family to stay. The owner was not hard to reach and the place was decently priced for what we needed. It has two bedroom and is in the better part of Hagerstown. The only thing I didn’t really like was the street parking but that is more of a personal pet peeve than anything else. For the price and being in one of the safer places in town I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.'

We were occupied all day long for three days with our family so this was a great location to return to in the evening, relax and watch a movie, shower and go to bed! 'We enjoyed a wonderful stay on a recent snowy weekend in Shepherdstown. The manager host was responsive to our questions, and the unit itself was comfortable and well-stocked. We particular enjoyed the location, only a brief walk from the charming main strip, where we enjoyed meals and snowy walks. Made for a delightful weekend escape!'

Some things that stick in my memory: Of the two smoke detectors, the upstairs unit was missing from its mounting bracket and the downstairs unit had no batteries. 'We had a great girls weekend staying at the 1799 inn. The location is great and we were able to walk out the door to all the sites, shopping, and restaurants around town. We were there during the Christmas season and the town was so nostalgic. The inn was clean and welcoming. A few things we noticed is the heating situation. 'I’ve absolutely loved staying at this place. The basement is very modern and clean and the host was very friendly and helpful. My favorite part of my stay was getting to see the acres of land. It’s such a beautiful scenery especially at sunset. The farm is in the backyard and I got to see the chickens and goats, and had some beautiful friendly farm cats around too. Definitely will come back to stay again!'

'Our stay here could not have been more amazing. Perfect location for Charles Town and Harpers Ferry. Only 10 minutes away from the National park and many of the tubing activities in the area. The apartment was beautifully decorated but still preserved the old home feel.'

'The check-in and check-out processes were all very easy to follow. The property was extremely clean and spacious for the four of us staying there. The only downside was that the entire place smelt like cigarette smoke. Otherwise, the place looks and feels exactly how the photos show it. 'We really enjoyed our stay at this little house! We came from different areas to hang out, relax and catch up in person. Scott and Margie could not have been better hosts! They were so gracious about letting us borrow a crockpot when I realized I had forgotten mine. The best part was an evening by the fire pit down at the river. Magical.'

'The tiny house is exactly as described. Its small, clean, cozy and comfortable. The location right on the river is fantastic. Being able to have a fire right by the water each night was such a plus. In better weather would be a great put in for canoeing, kataking. Very close many historic sights, unique shops, and outdoor activities. The hosts are very thoughtful, kind and responsive. We will be staying again!!'
