'I love the TRU by Hilton chain! The hotels are fresh and looking modern and young. They’re clean and are also focused on younger people who do remote working. I always book a hotel from that chain and the one in Ashland was no exception. Breakfast is typically US, so not the best but super bad either.'

'General ok place to stay. However small rooms, can be noisy if other guest stay out long. And gap between door and floor is big. So expect crawling friends.'

'The room was lovely and spotless. The grounds are beautiful. Judy does a delicious breakfast! She was very friendly and chatted a bit, which I appreciated since I was the only guest at the table.'

'The room had roaches, and the shower had no working hot water; the sink was leaking, and the bathroom floor was soaked. The doorknob mechanism on the inside was rigged not to lock after the guest leaves, and only locks when you're inside the room. An open condom wrapper was left between the mattress and the headboard, along with cigarette buds in a non-smoking hotel. When trying to cancel or switch rooms, the front desk was unaccommodating. '

'Room very run down, marginally clean, bathtub not working properly (broken pieces), hot water mostly non-existant even though staff supposedly addressed it once in the evening while i was out.Mattress was ok and staff was nice when i spoke to them'

'Het positive aan dit hotel is dat het aan de overkant van de straat ligt van pretpark Kings Dominion. Verder was het een wat kleine kamer. De kamer was vies en er hing een vreemde geur in het hotel. Met vies bedoel ik dat de oude contactlenzen van de vorige gast nog op de vloer lagen. Ook vonden we oude bier dopjes en zaten er vlekken op de vloer. Daarnaast waren de kamers erg gehorig en konden zowel de mensen naast ons als boven ons horen. '
