'Perfect little hideaway to ride out a record-dumping spring snowstorm. Location halfway between Stowe and Jay Peak, easy access, amenities nearby. Lovely setting, quiet. Eric was a congenial and helpful host. Would definitely stay here again.'

'Beds were comfortable and the 3 season porch was a great place to unwind. We enjoyed the view of the water from the house. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes. At night we could hear tree frogs calling on the other side of the road, which was fun. There's also a park nearby with walking trails, and a grocery store close by. Zachary's Pizza is also close and we had an excellent pizza there. It was about 20 minutes to downtown Burlington. A very relaxing place to stay, so glad we found it!'

'This was the second time we stayed at this cozy cottage on Mallets Bay. We love the location, close to Burlington, and the view from the cottage is gorgeous! Beverly and Gordon are friendly hosts and responded right away to any questions we had. We will most certainly be back again!'

'The cottage was just what we wanted for a ski week. Location = private and remote on a steep dirt road, yet 20 min to Sugarbush, 30 min to Bolton, and <15 min to both Waterbury and Waitsfield centers. House = ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids - 3 spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and 2 nice baths. Cozy living area, surprisingly great light for an old farmhouse, warm and efficient gas stove, and all the kitchen supplies you'll need - plus washer and dryer. 'I had a great experience at this property! It was the perfect place to watch the eclipse, and made a a great home base. I was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was, as far as dining ware and cookware goes. We needed to call Albert to turn up the heat, but he arrived promptly and was very pleasant to interact with. We loved the decor of the place, and would love to return if we find ourselves in the neighborhood again.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite bad weather all week. The property is as described. The view was lovely and we appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. The only potential issue is that the stairs to the 2nd floor bedrooms are very steep, as others have noted, and our dog wasn’t able to climb them. Other than that, the place was very comfortable and it was great to get away.'

'Our second stay at Baxter's Hideaway was just as wonderful as the first. Albert is very responsive. The property very clean and well-equipped. The proximity to the bike trail is great. With beautiful weather we meandered along Church Street Marketplace in Burlington each night (highly recommend!). If you want to eat dinner in Burlington we recommend making reservations well in advance. We will definitely return again next fall!'

'Heron Dance cottage was a quiet and peaceful getaway. In a great location, this cottage was well outfitted for preparing meals, contained comfortable furniture and the bed was firm. The views out to the Lake were exceptional. The landing and the way down to the Lake made for easy swimming. Jan was friendly and approachable. The neighborhood roads facilitated daily walks. We highly recommend this property.'

'Location is good close to ben en Jerry's factory and Stowe. Interior is old and smells stuffy and humid. Matresses are covered with plastic and are very uncomfortable. Owners live on the premisses and are helpful. '
