'Had the most wonderful stay at harborwalk Lodge. It's owned by the nicest and most accommodating couple, David and Patricia. Patricia is a chef and made us the most delicious breakfasts. The place is immaculate and is decorated nicely. We had the whole place to ourselves. It was so relaxing and had everything we needed. If we are ever in the area, we will be staying here. '

'The thing to remember about this place, it is cheaper than everything else. So, it is basic furniture and breakfast is weird with everyone on one table and only eggs as the cooked food, but you get what you pay for! The most annoying thing is that they email you in advance to ask when you are arriving but clearly don’t look at the response. Any issues and you are told ‘you can cancel’ in a way that implies they might cancel your reservation! To be fair, they didn’t but it was a very odd...

That was a great benefit because parking down there is horrible. The breakfast was second to none. The whole stay was wonderful. 'The reservation for this booking was confirmed so I got on my flight to Houston. While I was midair ON THE DAY OF CHECK IN the reservation was cancelled because it was "booked by someone else" and the owners weren't aware. I don't really see how this could be possible but even if it was, it wasn't cool to cancel on me last minute like that. I got to Houston and had to scramble to find a place. I chose to stay in a home for a reason, so having to choose a hotel because a HUGE inconvenience. And,...

'So much is right here, from decor to food to personnel, so that it was hard to understand why such a hotel is stillstuck in the Holiday-Inn past with its ac system blasting cold air in noisily. I want quiet so that I can sleep, I do not want a draft and I do not want a cold room, not in the least because this destroys the planet.'
