Stayed during June 29-July 4 in Melia Suite. We booked this hotel for its location, the beach and water slides since we have a son we knew would enjoy them. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warmth and friendly service. Check in was quick, however it lacked explanation of the property’s amenities.
Let’s start with the restaurants. The food choices are very limited. The grill offered the same food everyday. Would’ve appreciated different menus each day. The Italian restaurant was the best among the restaurants I should say. The pizza was the only food my son enjoyed.
Our minibars weren’t stocked everyday. We always had to go downstairs to ask for bottle water since their phone in the room to call directly isn’t working. This became annoying but we chose not to make a big deal out of it.
The service in the restaurants were great. You can see all these staff are working hard to make sure you are taken care of. I appreciate all the staffs on each restaurant for their service.
On the other hand however, the service in the pool is lacking. There are only two servers in the pool which delayed service. The bar had its good and bad days. The service was slow despite seeing three bartenders behind the bar.
Overall, this hotel needs a lot of work. We were disappointed in many reasons but appreciate the staff’s hard work. Are we gonna come back? Probably not.
