Way way over priced 3-4 star resort but it is not a 5 star right now. We visited Nizuc in 2021 and the experience then was optimum but now in 2024 it is totally dissapointing....from check in to worn out matresses, no hot shower water...unswimable algee filled beach, over priced average cheap all you can eat buffet low quality food etc. The quality of the food is really way down and there is a coky attitude in the whole establishment The only areas that are good is the personnel and cleaniness of the property. if you are an Expedia platinum VIP it doesnt mean anything there ... Better choices are Zillara, Aqua, Secrets, etc

Most of the staff is Fantastic. Some are good, which is not bad but you can see a difference. They gave us our rooms very late after check-in. After that the service was great in all areas even if the resort was busy.

Everything was stunning but the prices were predatory. Breakfast Buffet was 80$ Canadian for a basic buffet. Lunch let’s say on average of 35$ a person basic burger etc etc and supper was ridiculous 100$ for a beef teriyaki bowl. Drinks were 20$ for a basic cocktail a can of coke was 7$ Canadian. The resort was beautiful, service was awesome but you will be shocked by prices. If you have a toddler prepare to spend a lot of money to keep him fed on the simplest of things.

Having stayed here before, the service this year had dwindled somewhat. Ana was lovely, as was Jonathan - helpful and willing. However, some real service misses. 1. No upgrade offered on arrival, late-check out had to be requested from three separate people, most VIP amenities not provided - so Expedia gold benefits somewhat pointless. 2. The restaurants made mistakes (serving main course before appetiser) and then came looking for a tip after none was added. 3. Requested breakfast times were very rarely met. 4. Requests had to be repeated (request of iron). 5. Requests were simply often not met - requesting grapefruit juice and brought cranberry juice without any further discussion. These are not 'huge' issues per se, but they are issues that are inconsistent with 5* top hotels and moreover they are issues that did not arise the previous year.

Loved our 2 nights at this luxury resort. It’s a beautiful facility. The VIP perk was a free hydrotherapy session which was fantastic. The food was the highlight for us. The meals are very expensive but so delicious. We also went snorkeling on-site. They provide all the gear. My suggestion to them is to do a better job at telling guest what’s going on. We didn’t know for example that there was yoga at 8 am, which I would have gone to. Maybe our checkin person forgot to tell us. I’m not sure.

The master suit hands down the best suite I've stayed in while visiting Cancun. The staff on the resort are the best. They make sure you want for nothing. This will be my resort anytime I visit Cancun.

A great resort, especially for those travelers that aren’t looking to venture off property. A haven of relaxation. Staff members were warm and welcoming, the facilities were first rate and while it is quite pricey, it’s worth every penny. We already rebooked for next year.

Overpriced, liars and even though I was entitled to a upgrade, and plenty of rooms available I was not given - was made to pay.. not sure if hotel or Expedia at fault regardless would never ever go back..

Overpriced for what it is and not up to expectations for a five star property. The rooms and the property were lovely with a very nice spa and good design. However, the cost of food and drinks were higher than New York without being as good. In addition, the service was not great and we had many instances where we had to wait 20 min plus to be served or to get the bill. Definitely sticker shock and not worth it compared to other options.
