Having stayed here before, the service this year had dwindled somewhat. Ana was lovely, as was Jonathan - helpful and willing. However, some real service misses.
1. No upgrade offered on arrival, late-check out had to be requested from three separate people, most VIP amenities not provided - so Expedia gold benefits somewhat pointless.
2. The restaurants made mistakes (serving main course before appetiser) and then came looking for a tip after none was added.
3. Requested breakfast times were very rarely met.
4. Requests had to be repeated (request of iron).
5. Requests were simply often not met - requesting grapefruit juice and brought cranberry juice without any further discussion.
These are not 'huge' issues per se, but they are issues that are inconsistent with 5* top hotels and moreover they are issues that did not arise the previous year.
