'The check in process was seamless. The property was clean and inviting. As I mentioned, loved seeing French Roast coffee on the counter. The bed was firm but not like sleeping on a rock, a very welcome change. Walking distance to shops and restaurants is a plus. I would highly recommend and plan to return when my schedule allows. 5 hr drive for me'

'I would highly recommend this quiet little apartment in Thomas. It is in the commercial district, behind one of the art galleries. It is secluded, cozy, and has clearly been decorated by an artist. It is quirky and very cool! It has all of the amenities. The apartment shares a large common landing with a couple of other apartments but it is private and quiet. It is in the heart of the historic Thomas riverfront district, 1 block down from the Purple Fiddle and surrounded by art galleries and...

'Loved the uniqueness, style, riverside location, and we had entire place to self. Not a true queen bed for two and we felt cramped, is only complaint. Would stay here again and recommend.'

'The apartment entry was inside an unmarked building but was easy to find. There are steep stairs to flat and you are asked to leave your shoes at the bottom of the stairs. The apartment was very clean and upgraded and was very inviting. There was no TV in the flat, but there was WiFi. We visited at the beginning of April and a lot of the nearby restaurants were closed, had limited hours, or services, but there was a grocery store down the road and you can make food in the apartment.'

'This was nice. Visitors should be respectful of the people that live in the other apartments, as it is easy to assume they are all VRBOs. Fair warning, the church across the street from the back bedroom has an active clocktower. Other than that, this was nice, well-priced, and exactly that for which we were looking. We did not cook, so I can't speak to the effectiveness of the kitchen.'

'The condo was lovely with amazing amenities. Very quiet but it was too far from trails, eateries, and other things to do. Had to drive everywhere and there was no view but there was a nice deck.Again very nice but just didn’t include some of the logistics I had hoped for. This was not our first time at Canaan but our first time at this property. Beware, there are steps from parking lot to unit but condo is one floor.'

'The house is in a great location to visit all the attractions in the area of the Canaan Valley of West Virginia. If you like hiking there are plenty of trails nearby. The house is pleasant, comfortable and well equipped. The owners Laurie and Chip are next door if you need any assistance. The mountain views are spectacular!'
