'One of the loveliest B&B experiences ever. Morag, our hostess was a treasure. Her culinary skills and hospitality were exceptional. We stopped for an overnight enroute to Isle of Skye...a respite we won't soon forget. '

'The pub was lovely and served great food and drink options. The rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit fairly basic and in need of modernisation, but certainly no complaints given the room rate. The pub offers great value for money and is dog friendly. We used it as a stop of travelling south from Scotland and we will likely return. '

'Horrendous journey to the Fox and Pheasant. Worried we would miss the dinner cut off time we called through. Been traveling for over 10 hours! No problem arrive very tied to a lovely bowl of soup. Feel in to bed and had an amazing sleep. Set off next morning after a fantastic breakfast and a lovely packed lunch. Defo stop off again'

'Very friendly staff in popular and welcoming village local. We only stayed one night and didn't eat here though the menu looked great. Obviously popular with locals and tourists alike for a small village it was busy on the Saturday night we stayed. Room was clean and comfortable though dated. The bed was a bit older than some but perfectly pleasant. The surrounding area is stunning with plenty to do within a short drive and lots of walking on your doorstep. Overall a most enjoyable stay. '

'This cottage is located in a beautiful area with lots of hiking/ walking possibilities. kids could play nearby the river Esk or surrouding streams and forrest. The cottage also have a very nice garden with a possibility to BBQ or sit. There is nothing what we misses in this cottage, nice beds, very quiet area, really good equipped kitchen, lots of towels. We had booked the "Garden" cottage but due to unexpected maintenance the host upgraded us to the "Stable"cottage (which now reviewed). In the...

'The cottage was immaculate and well stocked. Had everything we needed and a bit more! Beds were very comfy. Very helpful owners, friendly and welcoming. Lovely area, out of the way so was a peaceful place to stay. Really enjoyed our holiday.'
