'It’s a beautiful resort. Very clean and it is beautifully decorated. The food at the Japanese restaurant was very good. I do have to say that the service actually left me very underwhelmed. The staff did not seem concerned with helping. You have to actually run after people to get service. Most were not friendly. I requested a hair dryer because my room was missing one, they took a really long time to bring it and when they did, it was not even working. I had to ask a housekeeper for one from an...

'Clean Room. Food was really good, the staff was great. Airport shuttle we called the hotel 3 days before our arrIval and they scheduled our transportation. We chose the private transportation we didn’t had to wait for other people they picked us up fast.'

'Everything was as you would expect. The club… is it worth it? Just about, but we didn’t eat there for dinner - no atmosphere. Things to be improved: 1. Allowing people to leave their towels on a sun lounger who then disappear for 1/2 the day. 2. The parasailing company that operates next to the hotel on the beach - they drive their jet skis way too fast and way too close those in the water. '

'A nice small-scale resort with an excellent view. The place could do with some maintenance (paint coming off the walls and mould here and there). Also disappointing there is no restaurant (although there is an external restaurant onsite that serves decent breakfast). We spent the first night of our Yucatan trip here, which was nice enough, but wouldn't recommend it for long-term stay.'

'The room were nice and clean, The pools and beach were beautiful. Staff were wonderful. My biggest complaint is that getting reservations at the restaurants was very difficult and we ended up eating at 8:30 or 9:00 every night because we couldn't get anything earlier. '

'Personeel is vriendelijk. Hotel is erg centraal gelegen. Het eten is lekker bij het buffet. Ik zou er alleen niet elke dag eten want dan eet je bijna elke dag hetzelfde. Parkeren is gemakkelijk en gratis. Wel is het hotel erg druk. Druk bij het restaurant, rijen! Ook bij het inchecken enorme rijen en chaos van alle drukte. Verder prima hotel voor een paar daagjes om je vakantie af te sluiten.'

Room Allocation & Handling (Primary Concern) Despite booking a king bed, we were given two small double beds. No resolution was provided. 'A wonderful time spent at the SMC resort. On this trip we didn't do the spa. It was a bit noisy than we're use to but we still had a relaxing time. We stayed as preferred club and not only was the service excellent in preferred but all over the resort. We cannot complain about the meals or our drinks and watching the entertainment outdoors under the moon and stars made it special. One drawback is they try to sell you timeshare but they did not pressure us when we declined. So thumbs up for SMC.'

'Clean, beautiful, only adults hotel; old but well-maintained. Small, but if you need more amenities, you can use the sibling hotel next door. Be ready for craziness with kids and family all over the place. '

'Very good internet, location, pools, beach, loungers, rooms and beds. This is a time share and there’s a hard push on listening to the time share pitch which we didn’t love. They had bingo at 3:00p at the pool, which was fun and interactive. The rooms were large! We booked the grand suite and there was plenty of room for three people. We each had our own bed and sleeping area. Quiet.'

'In the hotel there is nothing to do,after you go to the restaurant. The buffet is very limited, we stay 5 days and only one of those there was Mexican food ‘, the water in the shower and in the wash basing smelled very, very very bad. The jacuzzi in the room was dirty with a lot of soap scum.'

'Great place for a large group with various interests and budgets. Staff was friendly, family pools were great. But you do need to get up very early to reserve your pool chairs. The food wasn’t great. The only really good meals we had was breakfast at the Italian restaurant. Otherwise, we took a bus into town to eat. Would recommend.'
