'Loved this gorgeous boutique hotel. It felt elegant yet peaceful in its small size. Our entry level or basic level room was really very large and was extremely comfortable with a comfortable king size bed, a separate dressing area and large bathroom area. The breakfast was outstanding of which we in particular loved both the avocado toast as well as the bread with fruit ( a white bread smothered in fresh cream topped with fresh strawberries) it was delicious! 'This would probably be the only property that I would not do a repeat visit going back to Japan. The property itself is not the most convenient to get to, even being near'ish Kyoto Station. It's about a 10 minute walk in any direction to get to any of the trains. That said, that wasn't the worst part. The unit itself was interesting. The tatami floors though were scuffed and dirty. Clearly people had been wearing their shoes around inside which was disappointing. It had a washer in unit but no...
