'In general the property was quite nice. Rooms are spacious if somewhat run down (they were doing some renovations though so that might be solved soon). It is in a nice location by the ocean and the bar/restaurant was very enjoyable with good staff. The pool is somewhat small but acceptable, the private lagoon somewhat makes up for this though (it is also a great place to try out your snorkel before going into the ocean).

'Ett rymligt rum med stora sköna sängar. Från balkongen hade vi lite havsutsikt och jag misstänker att de flesta rummen har det. Vi stannade bara en natt så vi hann inte testa eller uppleva så mycket, men den lilla stranden var utmärkt.
Vi avstod från att köpa frukostbuffé eftersom vi kände oss för stressade.
Min enda invändning är att parkeringen var lite dyr, 35 dollar per dag, med tanke på att det handlar om en relativt liten ort.
Jag återvänder gärna.'

'Absolutely superb. Randy thought of everything to make this a quiet, friendly, comfortable place to stay. A quiet retreat. It put a dent in our tourist activities, though, because we didn’t want to leave! It’s good to do some grocery shopping before you get there, as there are minimal food options in the immediate area.'

Yes it really takes 20 minutes for hot water and there's no a/c, but the rates are reasonable, rooms are clean and breezy, staff are nice, and parking and continental breakfast free. The hotel was built in 1911 (16 years before the Royal Hawaiian) and the new owners are working hard to keep it nice. Enjoy the ceiling fans, coqui frogs, and 5 minute walk to downtown because you won't find another place...

I especially liked that the front desk clerk upgraded our room, so we had a sleeping area, and a living area as well as 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. It was our anniversary and the room upgrade just put it over the top! I also liked that the hotel has a laundry center- so we were able to wash/dry our clothes. The food at the resort restaurant was a bit pricey, and nothign special to equate to the price. However, I was glad...
