'The one thing that really disappointed me about this place is that their listing on Hotels.com mentions an airport shuttle, but on arrival they tell me to take a taxi, as they 'do not do airport transfers'. As I specifically picked a non-chain hotel that -did- have an airport shuttle, this led to my stay costing USD 80 more than anticipated. 'The hotel had various subway stations at walking distance max 5 min walk. The rooms are not small and quite big for New York standards. The hotel itself is a little outdated but is is very comfortable. It has a large fitness room and self service kiosk and small restaurant. A very good place to stay to explore New York by subway. Rooms are cleaned every day and AC was working fine.'
