'It was my 70th birthday and we booked two suites. Check in was a breeze - they allowed us to the rooms early, made sure the rooms were next to each other, carried our luggage to our rooms. I couldn't be happer with the selection and will definitely recommend. The only thing was being able to let people know where we were staying. Having the name Sonesta Suites would have been helpful to help our friends find the location.'

'This split level house was clean and had the feel of being recently redone. The pictures were spot on. Great view of mountains out back, and of the ocean driving into town. Easy commute to San Franciso area. Very quiet neighborhood.'

'We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect and within walking distance to Caltrain, shops, restaurants, library, Starbucks and Safeway. Check-in was smooth and host was super attentive and helpful prior to our stay. There was plenty of natural day light and windows to open which allowed for a lovely breeze throughout the day. The windows are double-pane and help reduce the street noise and train whistle (which brings back fond childhood memories). I always travel with disposable earplugs...

'The house was adequate however, the kitchen was dirty and ant infested. We sprayed and cleaned the kitchen and no more ants during our stay. Lots of construction near the house which was noisy and it was annoying trying to find our way around with a couple of closed roads. The exterior of the house is unkept, front and back yards were not mowed with grass and weeds 3 feet tall. Advertised pictures were much better than actual house and yard.'

'We had a wonderful weekend at the Beach Villa home. The location was superb, and the place was clean and inviting. Depending on your vacation preferences, it's worth noting that the two bedrooms are quite small, with limited space around the bed. However, the mattresses were comfortable, and the corner windows helped alleviate any feelings of tightness, especially in the room with the northwest-facing view of the ocean. (lovely!) 'On our way driving to Phoenix we decided to spend 3 nights in Half Moon Bay, had never been to this area. It was great! The accommodation was good, bathroom small and sink tiny but the kitchen sink was large so my husband and I used that! Only thing lacking was no wardrobe or closet for hanging clothes, only 1 hook in the bedroom, but we managed and did like the space and cottage feel!
