The staff i dealt with were all really freindly and helpful. The rooms, pool areas, and beach were all clean. You could see staff testing water and cleaning every day. The food in the Lindo was good and would recommend the step up over beach as the buffets were better. My only one negative was getting reservations for dinners. We got most we wanted but couldnt get rodizio. I understand this will be changed to walk in which will help. Really loved the resort and would definitely go back.

Es la 2da vez que regresabamos al mismo hotel, ya que el 1er año que fuimos quedamos encantando, y este año que regresamos, ibamos con las mismas expectativas o que fueran mejores y todo lo contrario. Fuimos en la misma fechas para festejar el cumpleaños de mi hija, y el año pasado, le dejaron de regalo 1 playera y 1 morral, este año solo la decoracion en el cuarto. En la playa este año no hubo las famosas discadas de mariscos que preparaban con aterioridad. En el area de la alberca principal, solo 2 dias nos toco que dieran tacos, en cambio el año pasado diario daban. El buffete de desayuno ahoria si sin tanta variedad. Las reservaciones para lso restaurantes de especialidad ahora si fui muy dificil consguir. los ultimos 2 dias el barco pirata estuvo cerrado sin algun aviso de que se iba a cerrar. Personal de Animacion, Staff y en los bares todo muy bien. Para el siguiente año ahora si voy a evaular otro hotel ya no me dan ganas de regresar a este.

Great place for a family! Property is huge and there’s always something to do. The pools were clean and huge, rooms were comfortable but could use some minor updates. Food was average. Nothing was amazing but it wasn’t awful either. Would go back and recommend to friends and family!

The property is great for families, I feel like it’s better for younger kids. Food was GREAT and every employee that you came into contact with was extremely helpful. The only complaint I can think of is there was not a lot of servers to bring drinks on the beach but bar to beach was close enough to get your own drinks

Awesome place for a spring break trip. Kids loved all the pools and water slides. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. The property is huge but very walkable. Had no issues finding anything we needed. Highly recommend the Under the Sea restaurant. If there was one thing I had to ding the resort on was the need to push the timeshare presentation. I know that’s a big business for them but they almost make you feel obligated to go. But overall, it’s a wonderful place to go!

Very family friendly. I travelled with a large family with children ranging from 2y-13 yrs and they all managed to have great fun! Lots to do for toddler and preschoolers including a large splashpad, lazy river, indoor playground and outdoor playground. Lots of space to lounge with a large group, and lots of food options. I would've skipped the stress of booking restaurants and just head to the buffet every night because they change their theme every night so there's lots of variety. We had a Spanish night, seafood night, all very yummy. The only negative comment I will leave is beware of the rooms closest to the beach. The first room they gave us was in building '50' which was closest to the beach. While it was an upgrade (larger room, with a private jacuzzi in the balcony' it had a strong musty mouldy smell. They had a humidifier on and blasting all day but the smell was still really strong, and we saw trace of mould on the bathroom walls. After our second night, one of our friends who we were travelling with visited us in our room and commented on the strong smell of mould and that their room did not smell like that. We called concierge and arranged to change our rooms right away. Our second room was in building '55' and it was much newer with absolutely no trace of mould. It was a night and day difference. Highly recommend booking in building closer to the lobby instead of the beach.

I've been to 3 resorts in Cancun, and this has the best water slide so far and a good amount of pools. This is an excellent resort for large groups of families. Beaches are wonderful for sand lovers. However, this is lacking in the nightly shows that other resorts offer. Overall, this is more suitable for a large family with children. I also had a great snorkeling experience as part of the excursion. The food was excellent but required reservations ahead of time. The steak house was great, and there was a night with great seafood on the buffet. Great variety of choices. I still recommend this resort if you haven't been there before.

We have stayed in a lot of all inclusive resorts. This one has been our least favorite. We booked a double room for 4 and upon arrival were given a king bed and a twin rollaway. After complaining they finally moved us to a small room with 2 double beds. Not Queen, double. Beds are very small. We were directed to concierge upon arrival to make dinner reservations but were only able to get reservations for 2 of our 5 nights. We were at buffets the rest of the time. Staff is not very friendly and are definitely not problem solvers. If you want a chair by the pool or on the beach you have to get your towel the night before and go out at 6:30am to put your towel on the chair to save your seat. There are signs that say don’t do it but they don’t Inforce it and if you want a seat you have to. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt since it was spring break but they said they are always that full. Food wasn’t that great at the buffets. Didn’t really get to experience anything other than the Mexican and Greek restaurants and they were just OK. Our room had plumbing issues so beware. This is supposed to be luxury but don’t expect top shelf alcohol. The rooms are very far from the lobby and we got no offer to help with luggage, we were given a map and left on our own to find the room. There are also no elevators so if you aren’t on the ground floor be ready to carry your bags up the stairs. The coffee shop was good. The grounds and pools were nice.

On the other hand, allow us to inform you that we have a policy where it is forbidden to reserve sunbeds and in the event someone reserves them for more than one hour without using them, our staff will kindly remove towels and personal items from them. We regret that some of our guests do not follow this policy well, however, we can assure you that everyday our staff does everything in their hands to verify this internal policy is being followed. My only “complaints” would be: You needed to pay for the evening entertainment unless you wanted to go to the kids program, also, the entertainment could be just a little earlier in my opinion. The much larger issue was the temperature of the different food options. Hot Foods were, at best, Luke Warm and sometimes cool. The service at the Steakhouse and the French restaurant were horrible. Getting seated and waiting 30-40 minutes for a drink is unacceptable. I have a couple of food allergies, the host/hostess is good about asking, but the service staff also asks (every time) so why does the host ask too, and in the end the French restaurant still brought a shrimp cocktail to a person that has a shrimp allergy, made me wonder what ingredients were in the main dish and should I eat it.

The mangroves made the beach out of sight but is just a very short walk from where we stayed. The shroud of hearing the waves before seeing it adds a bit of excitement .

Great resort for families and all ages
This was my first all-inclusive stay with my kids (9 and 11). This is a GREAT place for families, as it caters to all ages. Overall, I’d go back there again with families (perfect place for a family reunion), but not for a romantic or luxurious getaway, or for a party atmosphere. Here’s my take… Pros: The pools were a huge draw - perfect for lounging, playing, drinking, etc. The waterslides did not disappoint at all! There were always at least a few open beach chairs anywhere we went, though the premium locations tended to get snapped up quickly. Service was always very friendly. The commitment to waste reduction was a surprising perk - it was so lovely to have almost zero single-use kitchenware, which meant very little trash and a clean conscience. The beach is beautiful. It’s a large resort, but surprisingly easy to get from place to place. Fun vibe, but not crazy party place. Quiet when it needs to be. Felt VERY safe. Cons: the food was unimpressive for the most part. It did the trick, but nothing more. There were a few meals that were truly delicious, like the Japanese hibachi and the steakhouse, but otherwise, it was Costco-grade. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade, like more functioning outlets, but they served their purpose. Finally, if I went back, I’d stop by 7-11 first to load up on specialty snacks, sunscreen, pool toys, etc., because even though they sell all this stuff at the resort, it requires a second mortgage to pay for it.

We have been to iberostar lindo multiple times, but this time it was disappointing and the hotel clearly took a turn to worse experience. Here is what we did not like: * Christmas show viewing now requires paid reservations (150 usd, I believe). By itself, it would not affect us (we never watch it), but before the main show they have a performance by kids in the kids club, which is very important for the kids. We could not watch our kids performing on stage, because all the seats were reserved - the seats were empty, since obviously people who reserved those were not interested in 10 years old dancing, but nevertheless we were not allowed to seat there. All the parents had to watch their kids from the distance, and kids performed in front of the empty rows! Terrible * Coffee in the buffet was silently replaced with instant coffee. Was not the case before, and we hate instant coffee! * 3 days out of 6 kids club was on shortened schedule * Extremely disappointing service at Star Cafe. Several times when we asked for lattes, barista just used lactose-free milk, for the sole reason of not wishing to bend over and take the regular milk from the fridge! Had to stay on alert every time when we ordered coffee and request that she uses proper milk! * The new Il Museo restaurant serves pretty inedible food Overall, it clearly felt like the hotel is on track to cheapen the service and find ways to charge money for stuff which was free before. Very disappointing!

This is not a 5 star property, by any means. The rooms and buildings they're housed in, need a major update. Food selection and quality at the buffet restaurants was average at best. Food quality at the 2 reserved restaurants we went to, Italian and Steak, below average. Not worth the $ I paid. I would not recommend this resort.

There are tripping hazards in the pool area, in particular curbs around plant areas. Being about 4 inches high, they are easy to trip over, but not easily visible. My wife tripped and fell. They prioritized wedding event participants over the other guests. We had to move off of the beach to accommodate wedding photo ops.

We had a great stay at the Lindo! There is always something to do! Great nightly shows! We really enjoyed having the extras at the mall! We ate at the burger restaurant many times and enjoyed the disco! Water slides were an added bonus even for the adults!! Beach was beautiful! No seaweed in early November! Our one downfall was our group had trouble getting reservations to restaurants. They were full from the day we came in. We were able to visit the Japanese (great!) and Mexican (terrible!). We wish we could have tried more of the restaurants.
