'The onsen experience is amazing! We were so relaxed each evening after the baths and massage chairs! My daughter was in heaven with nightly ice cream! Nothing at the big chain hotels we are used to in the states comes close! The rooms are smaller than we are used to but the value and experience far exceeds traditional western standards. Stay here if you want to feel welcomed and relaxed during your stay!'

'This hotel cleans once every three days. On the third day I came back after a long day in the burning sun. My room wasnt cleaned, even though I was assured by a worker in this hotel that my room would be cleaned. It took 5 calls with staff to come op with some 'solutions'. The first solution was that I should move to another room. I was tired after a long day and I had alot of stuff in my room. I didnt have energy nor the time for this. The second solution was that they would 'clean' my room....

'De kamer was keurig en groot genoeg. De badkamer is ingericht op het Japanse badritueel, wat betekent dat de badkamer letterlijk één grote natte ruimte wordt. Dat is niet altijd even handig. De wastafel zit buiten de badkamer en het toilet zit apart, dat is wel een pluspunt. Het ontbijt is zowel Japans als Westers, en behoorlijk compleet inclusief diverse eigerechten. De locatie midden in een winkelcentrum en dicht bij zowel metro- als busstations is perfectste noemen. Ik zou zeker opnieuw...

'a lot of tourist in this hotel. centrally located by kyoto station is ideal to get to but not ideal for the stay. it’s a little far from where the action is — quick bus ride to Gion while convenient is still out of way. we found ourselves out all day and night instead of returning to drop items off and refresh. the rooms are more spacious for japan standards and up keep is good for an older hotel. '

'Excellent buffet breakfast. One free drink pppn. On arrival I could not check in, "system error ". I was tijd to come back later"maybe then check in possible ". In the evening live music, creates nice atmosphere. Location close to kyoto station. Next time I would choose a hotel in a busy area like Gion'
