'This was our second stay at Casa La Ulivella, and it was just as wonderful as we remember from our first time there nine years ago. The property is easily accessible by just a short flight of stairs (a real treat on the Amalfi coast) and is half a block from the perfect viewpoint for sunsets over Capri. 'Na 21 jaar waren we weer eens terug in Val Concei, in een huisje dat ons herinnerde aan het huisje waar we destijds in verbleven. Chalet Palo heeft dezelfde sfeer en uitstraling; alsof de tijd heeft stilgestaan. De omgeving is prachtig en nodigt uit tot veel wandelingen en er op uitgaan. '

'Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

'Very easy communication with the host, and the description of the unit was accurate. We were 6 adult males, so it's a bit of a tight squeeze but that didn't bother us too much since we spent so much time in town or on the mountain skiing.'

'VarennaHolidays staff were very helpful and responsive. Lines of communication were always open, and we felt very confident and supported throughout the whole process. The property was lovely-- great views, very good location, excellent restaurants nearby, close to waterfront and the ferry. The number of steep steps came as a little bit of a surprise.'

'We had a wonderful time in the house. The view is really fantastic! You can take beautiful walks and the house and garden are all about relaxation. The road through Bossico and to the house was very narrow, so we damaged our car going up there. Don’t go there with a wide and low car! But the view and the kindness of the owner makes up for all that! I would definitely recommend it to everyone!'
