'Check in was fairly long and painful. I would say we waited in line for an hour or so. We paid $300 to upgrade our room to an ocean view with a balcony, which we enjoyed (other than the sliding glass door being extremely difficult to open). The 3 pools were nice, and seemed well maintained. The bartenders and ALL staff, including the helpful bellboys out front, were amazing and definitely made the trip better. The food? We did not enjoy it. Not the buffets. Items were lukewarm, and repetitive....

'A nice small-scale resort with an excellent view. The place could do with some maintenance (paint coming off the walls and mould here and there). Also disappointing there is no restaurant (although there is an external restaurant onsite that serves decent breakfast). We spent the first night of our Yucatan trip here, which was nice enough, but wouldn't recommend it for long-term stay.'
