'My wife and I travel as a hobby... and we travel in luxury. The Rosewood Mayakoba is the most luxurious experience we have had. The spa is perhaps the best on earth, the interior mangroves and boat rides to restaurants is such a cool experience. The rooms are literally on top of the water, private pools, AMAZING service... truly an experience that I hated to end!'

'A mixed review. Some of the staff are exceptional and go above and beyond - they work extremely hard in a busy/challenging environment. Beautiful setting also. However, we were overrun by those attending an event at the conference centre and our experience was negatively impacted as a result - bar areas closed off. Reduced staff. No wait list system operated for diving/activities so my husband very nearly missed out because of a last minute late booking despite the fact that he had been in...

'This resort is big but feels small once you find your spot. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Resort is clean and rooms are huge. Only slight drawback was the seaweed at the beach but not much anyone can do about that!'

'Pros: Clean property Helpfull and friendly staff Cons -Room was outdated, damp, mouldy and had rust all over -A/c cannot be adjusted to your comfort settings. 22 degrees centigrate is the lowest you can go, making the room extremely hot - platinum status is a hoax . Save urself some money and just get deluxe -if you have a problem , concierge wont care - half the restaurants are closed.'
